What our customers are saying about our Luxury Cottages In Matlock To Rent.

"We visited Lime Tree Cottage with our 4 children and had the most wonderful time. The children are still asking when we will return. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated. The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. We all slept very well. The house is well equipped. Everything we needed was provided from every kitchen utensil and pots or pans that you would need to cleaning products, linen and towels and toys and games and cups and plates for the children. The hot tub was a welcome treat after our long days out and about. Fantastic for soothing our aching legs. A delicious supper awaited us when we arrived with some lovely wine to start the holiday on. The cottage itself is well situated. Shops and supermarkets (m and s and co-op) are a short distance away. A lovely fish and chip shop, bakery and pub are just around the corner. We loved Hall Leys Park which is less than a 5 minute walk away which has a small boating lake, water park and play park for the children. 10 minutes drive away and you can go to Matlock Farm which is well worth a trip. The Heights of Abraham and Gullivers Land are also a very short drive from the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our week away and will definitely be booking Lime Tree Cottage again. Our heartfelt thanks to Hayley and Mark for making our stay so perfect."

"My family and I stayed at Orchard Cottage for my Birthday weekend and from the moment we walked through the door we felt at home. Fantastic house with enough space for us all. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and all the beds were really comphy. The Tansley Tavern pub is in walking distance and worth a visit. There were only a few things that stopped me scoring this a 10 overall. Firstly, the house sleeps 8 comfortably and the main living room is a great size but realistically only seats 7 comfortably. There is a separate snug but we spent evenings together infront of the fire and one of us had to sit on a dining chair or on the floor. Second, and this is a small thing really, but there are no mirrors in the 2 twin bedrooms, seems a small thing but it is frustrating drying your hair or putting on makeup in a small hand held mirror. Finally, we didn't use the outside space as it was so cold, but unfortunately there was a pile of cigarette ends and a broken bottle that had been left on the patio from previous guests. Good thing we didn't have small children with us.Overall though these are only minor things which if improved would make my score a 10. We will most definitely be visiting again as it was a great base for our family and a really beautiful house."

"The cottage is beautifully decorated with absolutely everything you could need (and more)! We couldn't believe how big it was and how much space we had (we were a party of six adults). Each room was quite simply perfect with great attention to detail. The owners have clearly gone to a lot of trouble to make it a gorgeous retreat for guests. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and quiet, and the house is brilliantly situated so that Matlock and Matlock Bath are a very short drive away. The lovely spacious sitting room with huge sofas and a wood-burning stove was perfect to snuggle up in (with a TV and DVD player in case the fire wasn't sufficiently entertaining), and the huge kitchen allowed us to cook as if we were at home! There was even a snug room with another TV and Wii if you needed some quiet time.I'd thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who fancies a "home away from home" in the middle of beautiful countryside. I'd only ask that people take good care of the place because we would love to return!"

"The Barn was very easy to find and was very well presented. It's a great place to unwind. The rooms were spotless and are laid out very well. We had plenty of space to cook and prepare meals in the kitchen and the lounge was great to relax in after a good walk. After settling in we decided to explore the area. There are so many fantastic walks right on your doorstep and a lot of the scenery looks like something from a fantasy novel, the whole place is just utterly beautiful. We would recommend The Barn to anyone who's wanting get away from it all for a little while as we were. It just reminds you what a beautiful country we live in."

"Overall we loved Hassop. It was great to find a property large enough for all the family. It was very well appointed, cosy and comfortable. The managing staff were very friendly and helpful. The interior is probably ready for a fresh lick of paint. There were minor things to do with the cleaning such as place mats which needed cleaning before we could use them and some dust on the floor near the couch. Overall the house was cleaned immaculately. Loved the fact that we were provided with basic cleaning materials, toilet paper etc. Unlike many holiday homes we hardly needed to bring anything."
