"Our holiday was not at all a relaxing one as on arrival the hoover was over full and unusable. When setting the table for our first meal we thought that the place mats and coasters were heavy and hard to pick up but it transpired that the surface of the table was extremely sticky ( as if it had been varnished recently and not dried off properly) and everything stuck to it - including our elbows!! Between the sofa cushions there were food crumbs. The Kitchen bin had mould on the inside of the lid and was filthy at the bottom inside as we're the bathroom bins. The frying pans and saucepan were scratched and beyond use. Dishwasher unusable as a 1hr 15min cycle took nearly 3 hours. The boiler tripped out daily-no hot water on arrival and subsequently none each time it tripped. The en-suite shower was blocked so you stood in an inch of water while showering, when my 84 year old father unblocked it with a plunger (at his own cost) it became clear that the pipes are connected to bathroom next door and that there was a leak because after that there was a large puddle in the hallway beneath. There were cigarette butts on the ground in the patio area. Will never go back to Hillcroft."

"The property is located less than 1 minute walk from a water treatment works (check google maps). The house is a decent size, our family of 5 however was not accommodated for. We couldn’t use a bedroom because of the unbearable stench coming from all of the animal droppings on the floor (photos below), thus my two daughters had to sleep on the sofa. The dishwasher that is advertised does not work, as it is not even attached to a water source, so ignore the advertisement on the cottage page. The deposit seemed very illegitimate, on the website it says £50 deposit, the owner asked for £100, and after looking at reviews others have been charged up to £150 for deposit! Be aware of paying deposit on this place due to its condition and poor sanitary levels. There is one bathroom and another en-suite shower only room, this shower leaks onto the master bedroom floor, not enough kitchen equipment for 5 people. Get pest control in, we are included in the last few guests who spotted rats by the bins"

"Great cottage in the countryside, with nice owners. The cottage has three double bedrooms one ensuite. Large kitchen and two living rooms. Both living rooms have a television. The main living room has patio doors front and back leading onto a small garden overlooking the countryside and the other door leads to a courtyard for parking your car. There is a garage that can be used to store bikes surf boards or wetsuits, etc. The cottage has broadband which is reasonably fast for a place in the countryside. Although the cottage is in the middle of nowhere, which is great to see all the stars on a clear night sky, its only about 15mins drive to some great beaches. It is also nicely situated to get to a lot of site seeing places like Tenby, St David's, Pembroke castle or Oakwood theme park.Would definitely recommend this cottage."

"The cottage was very clean and comfortable. And decorated tastefully throughout. But after staying in many cottages before we were slightly disappointed in the lack of a welcome pack. After a 5 hour drive and arriving in the dark and pouring rain we were disappointed to find just an inch of milk in a 4 pint milk container in the fridge, 6 tea bags and barely 2 Tsp of coffee. So this meant having to go out again to shop before unpacking. Just as well we didn't have young children with us!! Also two light bulbs not working in the kitchen and neither was the clock. Also the remote control for TV upstairs also didn't work. Only minor issues, but feel these should have been noticed before guests arrive."

"Lovely little cottage in a gorgeous village right by the water. My wife and our 2 kids (8 and 5), had plenty of space, generally very comfortable. Lots of lovely walks nearby with stunning scenery. The village has a little shop where the owner was very helpful, we needed some logs for the log burner and although he didn't stock them he delivered some of his own later that day. Good local pub, and very friendly local cricket/rugby club. You have to have a car if you want more shops etc. But this place is about getting away from it all, lovely and quiet and relaxing. Only thing that could be better is having a king size double rather than a standard double in one of the rooms. Good size garden too."
