What our customers are saying about our Big Cottages In Lowestoft To Rent.

"The property has lots of pluses. The living accommodation is of a good size and overlooks the communal grounds and beyond this, the sea. The two main bedrooms are also a good size (although no wardrobe in the master bedroom). The bunk bed room is fit for purpose. The property is tastefully decorated and in a good state of repair. The kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery. A good sized freezer is also available. The property was also very clean throughout. In my opinion there are two downsides to the property. The first is the size of the kitchen. It is very compact and very difficult to fit more than one person in it at a time. The second downside is that the property is heated by portable electric oil heaters (and on-the-wall fan heaters in the ensuite and family bathroom). This is stated in the property details, but beware that you could be incurring electricity costs of circa fifty pounds if staying in a cold week. Overall I would recommend this property to friends, but would make them aware of potential additional costs."

"Sykes staff were so helpful when we first made enquiries about this cottage, promptly dealing with our questions and getting back in touch with us. The owner was equally as helpful when we needed to contact her and she appeared to go out of her way to help us plan our stay in Pakefield. We found the cottage was in an excellent position for access to a super, family orientated beach holiday. Nearby were 2 convenience stores, a very popular fish and chip shop, several restaurants/pubs serving good food and a tea rooms/cafe. The cottage was immaculate and beautifully decorated and appointed as shown by the photographs on the website. The owner left us a wonderful welcome gift pack catering for all ages in our family group, as well as a vase of fresh flowers! How kind and generous. We would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, idyllic, traditional holiday amid comfortable, cosy surroundings."

"The house was as expected from the description though the dishwasher was not working while we were there. I regularly use Sykes when booking a holiday as the standard of accommodation is reliably good. We were very pleased with this holiday house and would recommended it to others,Nice decor. No issues.Would recommend to other and not hesitate to book again.Location very goodAll amenities in the home, good space at the rear for sitting in the evenings.Welcome basket a nice touch to have a cuppa after our journey.Close to Africa Alive & Pleasurewood Hills.Easy travel up and down the coast, though the A12 to Gt.Yarmouth is extremely busy.Bus service is very good if you don't want to use your car either.Town Centre is within walking distance with plenty of shops and eating places. We had a very pleasant stay :)"

"This dog-friendly, lovely house provides absolutely everything any guests require. Having stayed in other rental properties, we took along small items (salt, pepper, vinegar, etc) with us, and brought most of them back home! There were even doggy biscuits, poo bags and toys for the dog. The house is beautifully decorated throughout, in an ideal setting for dog owners, so near the beach. The local pub opposite serves decent food and dogs are permitted in the bars; the Jolly Sailor, just down the road admits dogs from 10am to 11.30am, over the breakfast period. I would certainly recommend this property without hesitation."

"We as a family with 4 kids wanted to make a nice holiday week around Lowestoft. The place is a really quiet place with a great view on the sea and beach. Unfortunately, there were two points wich were very disappointed for us: The heater in the shower was not working. So with little kids it was always a hard work wash them and not acceptable for such a venue. The second thing was, that there has been a dog in one of the beds before we came, but it wasn’t cleaned. As a summary, except these two things, we really enjoyed our holiday there. But we can only give 6/10 points."
