"We stayed here for 2 weeks from the 4th August and we can't complement this place enough. Not only was we greeted with a lovely cream tea, the place is spotless and very well equipt. The scenery is breathtaking. Only 20 mins from Looe, Bodmin and Polperro, 15 mins to Liskeard, all wonderful places and well worth a visit. The cottage itself is wonderful in a perfect location. Kev & Sue are fantastic, really friendly and nothing is to much trouble, a great couple. This is a great location for visiting Cormwall. Seaton beach( the Cormwall one, not the one in Devon) is 20 min drive through the beautiful country side. It's worth take the back roads rather than the main road as you see so much more of the countryside. We took our Golden Retreiver, Holly who love the place and we had use of a large field behind the cottage to give Holly a run and she loved it. A 10 min drive down the A38 you will find a pub, the Halfway House. This place is well worth a visit, great food, superb potions and very friendly staff. All in all a great holiday and a wonderful place to stay. We will be returning. Thank you Kev and Sue xx"

"Stayed with my elderly mum in March the week after severe snow had cut off the area. Had to go a day late due to the village being inaccessible the Saturday but the owners offered us the option of staying a day longer, though we could not take it up due to a long drive back and work. Cottage is very spacious esp for 2 of us! It was nice and warm with the central heating and though we did light the wood stove a couple of nights it was more for pleasure. Bed in double room was extremely comfortable and as I have spinal problems this was such a plus. I took note of the make of mattress and am going to look at one for my Home bed! The only thing we would have liked was a bigger television with a better sound. Being a very large and echoing room the TV is really too small and the sound disappears and echos so is not clear, esp for my elderly mum with a hearing aid. Even on full volume we found it very difficult to watch a film. This is not a problem in the summer when you don’t watch the Tv but we had a wet, chilly week!"

"We did expect more space for the money plus a much better furniture. As we missed our ferry from France we tried several times to contact by phone the number indicated that we would arrive 1 day later. Upon arrival in Portmouth late in the evening next day we tried again in vain. We thought it would be too risky to find the keys plus house very late at night, we made another stopover in a hotel, misssing the 2nd night we paid for.We counted on the restaurant on siteon the other days but found it closed .There we not towels at all available and we had to ask for them the next morning. We were not used from other rentals to be charged for electricity, which was another 26 p.st. for 5 evenings. The small road to the holiday site was ok in November, however we do not dare to think what might happen during the holiday season. However the place as such with the lake is lovely , but from former rentals we did expect more from the cottage"

"Lovely cottage, clean and very comfortable, extremely well equipped, our hosts had thought of everything and gave us a very warm welcome upon arrival. The welcome gift was a lovely touch! The games room was a very welcome addition - our children loved it. The local village has a well supplied shop (with an extensive takeaway menu) and the local pub does great food. Whilst the cottage and setting were lovely we found it a bit too remote - we spent a lot of time in the car and even had to drive to the local village - the road there was just too long and steep for my mum and a bit too dark and lonely to be comfortable walking along in the evening. Despite this we had a lovely week and would definitely recommend this cottage."

"We had a wonderful 4 night break at the Hayloft. The grounds are well kept and large enough, with the adjoining woods, to keep our labrador well exercised! It is located in the country but close enough to Liskeard to nip to the supermarket to replenish supplies. It is also handy for walks on Bodmin Moor; Cheesering, Minions and Golitha Falls are but a short drive away. The beaches in South and North Cornwall are also close by . The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. John and Julie were both very welcoming and they gave helpful advice on days out etc. We would most definitely return. Michael and Elaine"
