What our customers are saying about our Baby Friendly Cottages In Leek To Rent.
Mrs Bingham - verified booking
"Very clean house, well equipped, just big enough for family of two adults and two young children (3 and 7). Very close to Churnet Valley railway which our son loved! Children enjoyed playing in the garden, and loved the playground two minutes walk away. (Garden is on a slope and has some fairly steep stone steps, so toddlers would need supervision.) Rotary washing line outdoors under cover of the carport so always dry! Kitchen small but well equipped. If eating with young children, recommend either taking a floor cover or eating in the garden or carport as we did (garden furniture available) as only space to set up the fold-down dining table is in the carpeted lounge. Local shop about 10mins walk and well stocked with essentials."

"Clean, comfortable, well equipped. We were a group of 4 couples so it meant using all the bedrooms including the bunk beds, which was fine they were a good size and very comfortable (I speak from experience as I slept on top bunk)Owner very welcoming and friendly. Lots of local info, we ate out at a recommended pub, we all enjoyed it. Went to Alton Towers, great day out only 6 miles away. If possible a sign on the lane to the property would be helpful. We all enjoyed our visit and agreed it would be lovely in summer to eat outside and use the barbeque, and enjoy the wonderful countryside. Feb 2011."

"A huge holiday house with lots of room for our party of six. We never felt on top of one another due to the space in the house. The owner provided everything you could possibly think of, with more than enough towels for our week's stay, plastic plates & cups for children and full Sky TV. Huge, comfortable beds and a lovely big dining table which we often sat around with a glass of wine! The house is only a 10 minute walk into the town and around a 25 minute drive to Alton Towers. We've booked several houses with Sykes before, but this was by far the best."

"The cottage was just charming though quite small, 'bijou' in fact, but that did not detract from it's charm.Mr Lowe showed us round and ensured that we had everything we needed, then told us that we could go anywhere on the farm that took our fancy, we could not imagine that we would need anything in addition to what was in the cottage, it was extremely well found, and proved to be very comfortable indeed. My wife, who is extremely 'fussy' was heard to say "Excellent, excellent, excellent.", Three E's from her is praise indeed. What else can I say?"

"We stayed at Basford View for a month in May and really enjoyed our holiday. The property was in a lovely location, very clean and the owner Paul was very helpful. The area is lovely for walking and only three miles from the main town of Leek. There are three pubs in walking distance offering good food and ale and a couple of shops and chemist nearby. The house contained everything we needed, with a lovely garden maintained by Paul and beautiful views looking towards the Peak district and Churnet valley. will definitely return soon."
