What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Laugharne Township To Rent.

Mrs MabeyMr GoodeZena BKvsmilesNick V - verified booking

"Very roomy and well equipped. Delightful owner who was very friendly and helpful. Very much home from home. Well situated excellent for dogs. Will definitely return. Our Border Collie thoroughly enjoy the friendship of the farm dogs. Very quiet which was exactly the place we were looking for.Coran Cottage is in an excellent position in Laugharne to visit all the nearby beautiful beaches and places of interest. The Cottage itself is well set back from the lane and comprises of a large kitchen diner, comfortable lounge with a wood burner and downstairs shower room. All appliances are modern and well maintained. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, and the family bathroom. The garden is safe and secure so no escapees. The views of the hills are stunning and the grounds maintained with a little stream running through them down to Laugharne. Ideal for "poo sticks". Visitors are welcome to go round the stables and say "hello" to all the horses as well as book riding lessons or just go for a hack. You could not be made more welcome by Jacqui and Melissa who will also give you useful information on where to go / eat. Being on holiday you don't necessarily want to cook. Laugharne itself is charming and a visit to the castle is a must. Local beaches, well Pendine, Amwroth to name a couple. Further afield you will find Monabier complete with castle. Pembroke and St David's are also within comfortable driving distance. Once back home to Coran Cottage, you can snuggle down in front of the wood burner during the winter, with a nice glass of wine. Or in the summer sit out in the beautiful grounds or follow the new woodland walk. There is broadband which can be switched off should you have teenagers who believe they cannot live without it. We proved they can!! Errrr don't book Coran Cottage when I want it, its my hideaway!!Over the summer, friends and I had a dream of spending New Years away from it all. By December, we thought we had left it too late but luckily came across Corran Cottage. Oh how perfect it was. The six of us spent 3 nights here and it was exactly what we were looking for; a complete escape from city life (wi-fi was only available if you stood near the window), a quaint Welsh town, country walks, and lovely hosts. The barn is newly rennovated, the fire burns warm, the stars shine bright. We brought in our own food and wine, and barely left the house. If you're looking for a change of pace, with some very friendly hosts, this is the place for you. We all cant wait to come back. Thanks again. For the city folk this place is a dream! A total escape from daily reality. The hosts Jackie and Melissa were very accommodating and very friendly. The cottage had everything needed to enjoy a few days away. Well furnished and maintained, and the kitchen had more than expected so lots of cooking was done! Located just on the outside of the village centre, but close enough to see the sights and of course sample the pubs! Great trip - totally recommend and would totally stay again if heading in that direction!"

ELIZABETH T - verified booking

"The house was a real delight with lots of space for a large family – it had the most incredible views of the beach which was a 2 minute drive to – we didn’t walk down to the beach as we had children with small legs who wouldn’t have walked back up the steep hill. It was our first time in this part of Wales but it won’t be our last – the coastline is a dream with beautiful beaches every few miles. Pendine is long and sandy with little coves. 10 mins up the coast we came across the beach at Wisemans Bridge which we particularly loved and then further round the coast the beaches at Tenby are a must to visit being so picturesque. We holidayed with our 2x grandchildren only as the rest of the family had to stay home due to the imminent birth of a child and we had to leave after 4 nights as baby was born! The house was spacious for us all and the girls made one of the rooms into a play room. The bedrooms were good sizes and the beds were comfy and the pillows too and the showers were strong and refreshing. The fixtures and fittings were beautiful and I loved the ethnic ornaments. There was plenty of plates, cutlery, even a dolce gusto coffee machine. I would recommend any large supermarket delivery as surprisingly there is no welcome pack on arrival so if you don’t get a delivery you won’t get a cup of tea or coffee until you shop and after a 6 hour journey we definitely wanted a drink. There was no salt and pepper – a few basics would have been nice? Plus local stores were expensive e.g. wine was double the price of a supermarket and bread up to double the price – I’m all for supporting local communities and shops but our budget was tight. Little drawbacks: No curtains in any of the bedrooms so once the sun comes up you are awake which is not what you want on holiday especially with children who are up then too. The large rug in the lounge area had food debris. The double bedroom (downstairs) shower room had signs of mould and certainly was smelly. The bedroom carpets have seen better days with staining. The hot tub was lovely. The utility was useful. We would recommend the Blue Lagoon swimming complex but plan the journey as we got lost and your booking is only for a few hours. The big screen was wonderful but complex to use – took us a few days to work it out. Unfortunately the boat trips to Caldey Island were not running until next week. Would we recommend to family and friends – yes! Will we be back – yes! • HOWEVER PLEASE GET SOME CURTAINS OR BLACKOUT BLINDS."
