"The Bay Talland complex is a lovely gated community with access to a 1.2M pool, Gym and sauna 0830am-9pm daily. The kids loved it. About half the houses are arranged around the pool featured in the photo. The well equipped house is on 3 levels with 3 double bedrooms and 1 with bunkbeds. The top bedroom looks out onto a decking area on the roof, ideal for private sunbathing or to chill out with a glass of wine at the end of the day. Access is via narrow roads (but it is Cornwall!) but coastal path to Polperro is up a spectacular hill, dropping down to the beautiful harbour village (no cars). On your way (about 500M) you will pass the Talland Bay Beach Cafe. Check out the link. http://tallandbaybeachcafe.co.uk. Lovely little cafe overlooking the small beach. In the opposite direction a 3 mile stroll along the costal path takes you to the busy little town of Looe with its any beaches. The Captain did not disappoint and remarkable value (peak season £200pp), clean, well equipped and a touch of luxury. The staff at reception were amazing and clearly enjoyed working in the environment which says a lot. Highly recommended."

"The above may be unfair as I write as an 83 1/2 year old. The owners Tracy & Geoff Tyrell are excellent, most welcoming and friendly, and offering home-baked bread, scones with fresh milk, cream and jam etc etc. The kitchen facilities also are good. They supplied us almost daily with logs for the wood-burning stove, which was a huge bonus. My personal difficulties lay in the weak lighting; I need stronger light to read by. Also I prefer places where I can walk the dogs without leads. Because of the free-range chickens and sheep in the field. leads are essential, and coping with the dogs and unlocking gates etc, I found difficult.Younger people would not experience these problems, and I would recommend this venue unreservedly to them."

"Great location if you want to leave the car alone for a week. Easy and beautiful walks into Looe and Polperro. Talland Bay Beach Cafe is great. A bit let down by missing simple amenities. When we arrived there were no toilet rolls and nothing whatsoever in the kitchen. Just one fish slice for the BBQ and neither outside sitting area gets sun in the evening. Whoever thought that one toilet brush for four toilets on three levels was adequate needs to reconsider. Would definitely go again but would take everything necessary, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, condiments, scouring pads with us including loo brushes.Pool and sauna are lovely. House is a bit tired."

"Our enjoyment of our holiday was definitely enhanced by the excellent accommodation. It was clean, comfortable, in an ideal location and the owners were extremely hospitable. There were home-made scones and bread, along with butter, jam, clotted cream, milk, a bottle of Cornish beer, a bottle of Cornish cider and flowers to welcome us on our arrival. There was plenty of local information provided in the cottage and Tracy and Geoff were around to give us extra help should we need it. They were the ideal hosts. The holiday was made even better by the excellent sunny weather!"

"Good accommodation but could do with a play area onsite and maybe a few supplies like bread, milk and ice creams. Road in and out is very narrow why they don’t make one way I have no idea as saw many jams as vehicle sometimes four in a row having to reverse. Because of the road would have been nice to have more facilities onsite. Dishwasher didn’t get used much as although only six in an eight person house not enough crockery etc. Cleaners didn’t do a very good job but site did rectify when advised."
