What our customers are saying about our Coastal Cottages In Kirkby In Furness To Rent.

"The apartment was disappointing. It was the only place I have ever stayed in my 77 years in which the gas boiler was located in the bedroom, with all the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning. There was no carbon monoxide alarm. In addition, the noise of the boiler kept us awake at night. The furniture was of poor quality and was uncomfortable. There was no information/brochures about the local area; and no books of any type. It was poorly equipped. These days one expects a washing machine and dishwasher as basic equipment; neither was provided. To be charged over £450 -00 for an off peak week in this flat October, which was not a half term holiday, was simply unjustified. To end on a positive note: The owner , Tony, who lives upstairs from the flat, is a helpful and decent person. ."

"When we arrived at the cottage we expected it to be warm, but in fact it was really cold had to ring the owners to see why it was so cold,as they had asked what time we would be there so they could get it warm for our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked, but it was so small and no where really to prepare food, and also to store. The bathroom was very small and had a washing machine in there, which restricted sitting on the loo!! as you had to sit sideways!!!Suggest dishwasher is removed from kitchen and washing machine put in its place.also suggest that a curtain could be hung to keep drafts out of living room, plus no bedside light in one bedroom, these are all points that were made in visitor book 18 months ago and nothing has been done."

"Fantastic location, unfortunately the cafe and local shop were not open when we were there even though the information said they were open all year round, this was not the owners fault though. The property was lovely and clean although the double bedroom downstairs was quite cold. The rest of the property was lovely and toasty warm and extremely comfortable. We went over the new year and the owners had left a bottle of Prosecco for us along with some lovely crackers. there was also bread, butter, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and eggs for our use. We were very impressed. Third bedroom would be more suitable for children but ok.We would recommend Bay View and was excellent value for money."

"The cottage is immaculate and the owners show a real attention to detail. Everything you’d need in the kitchen utensil wise is there. Plus cleaning products and also tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper. As other reviews have said, there are a number of signs up re dogs, bits of advice etc. Please don’t be put off by these, we have a big dog and it’s basic hygiene not to allow them on the beds so I loved the signs. Local pub is ok, great butcher in Broughton which is the closest village about 10 min drive and Coniston which is a 25 min drive has some nice pubs and restaurants. Great location for exploring, forests, lakes and the sea shore."

"We are a family of three and stayed in this cottage for five nights. The place was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the kitchen facilities were thoughtfully provided. However, the place seemed too small for three of us, as we had to move the dinner table around in order to sit down for dinner. The duvets were just extremely heavy and the beds were so uncomfortable. It might be acceptable without a bath in a small cottage, but the shower really let us down. It was either too hot or too cold, and the water seemed struggling to flow -- had very unpleasant showers. Anyway, thank you."
