"This is the best self catering accomodation we have stayed in to date. The extras throughout the barn were amazing. Thre double bedrooms all with ensuites, TVs in bedrooms and bathrooms! All modern fittings. Bathrooms very luxurious. Comfortable lounge with another TV! Huge dining table! Kitchen well supplied, ample cooking untensils and plenty of cutlery and crockery. Great views all round. Very secluded spot but only 10 minute walk to nearest pub with very nice food! Looking out of each window you feel very much isolated and so quiet compared to area we live. Bird song and occassional sheep bleating was all you could hear. Owners live next door with thier two dogs. Very friendly and playful dogs. From the barn there are views down to the Holligsworth Lake which has a footpath round it for great walks and cafes at various points. Not far from bigger towns if needed but local village had everything we needed. Would love to go back at some point in the future. Barn is very well equiped throughout. Welcome pack upon arrival was a lovely touch. Plenty of towels etc and laundry room. All in all a great place to stay. Thoroughly recommend."

" Obviously panicked I rang direct and was instantly helped out, and compensated. I thought this service fantastic. Made me feel optimistic I was dealing with a professional business which when planning the trip from Australia helped a lot. The property I ended staying in was superb and the host fantastic. I think we ended up with the better property after all and I was so pleased. I would without doubt book a property through this company again and absolutely visit Lane Foot Lodge again. This place was a gem. Smack bang in the middle of beautiful countryside and walking distant to amenities, train station, pubs and some of the best walks around. My kids loved the place, especially Pastures New, the host owned this place and allowed our kids to feed the horses and being surrounded by animals felt amazing. Nothing was too much for the host and it really made our holiday. Big thanks all round "

" It is set back from the village and is very secluded. Jacqui, the host, was excellent and left us to our own devices but was around if we needed her. She gave us some freshly laid eggs on arrival and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The cottage was well kept and the log burner was great with plenty of logs provided. The bed was so comfy and the shower was really nice. There was everything which you could possibly need at hand. The cottage is set on a farm and so there are lots of animals around, however there is a private garden area where dogs can run around which is fully secure. It is close to some lovely walks and the town of Littleborough is pretty also. We went to visit Skipton which was around an hour away, which was a really nice place and it is also around an hour away from Chatsworth House and Bakewell, so quite a central location. Would love to go back. "

"The owner was extremely helpful and very friendly without being intrusive, nothing was too much trouble. All our needs were catered for, fire lit on arrival, lights on, lovely welcome pack for ourselves and treats for dog. Toiletries supplied (which was a thoughtful extra) and bag of logs for fire. Also bed for dog, towels for cleaning dog and poo bags. We were at Lane Foot Lodge during the beast from the east week so weather conditions were severe, snow, 90mph winds, road closures etc, and a little bit of sunshine for first couple of days. The owner offered to get supplies, if we needed them to save us going out, when the heavy snow arrived. Lovely accommodation, lovely area, peaceful and tranquil with plenty of walks on doorstep yet you could be in Littlebrough within 10 minutes on foot. Would love to return again in the summer to this fantastic holiday accommodation."

"The house is very well-furnished: the bed was extremely comfortable (and although listed as 'king-size' is superking), the sofas and dining chairs were also very comfortable. The space to sit out was nice and had the added bonus of views of the farm animals. I found the food preparation space in the kitchen adequate, the fridge and hob fine; as we ate in for several evenings, I'd have been grateful for a couple of large bowls for salad etc. and some heatproof mats to put hot pans on the table but everything else was fine and there were plenty of saucepans, plates, cutlery, glasses and mugs. Because I have trouble with my sight and was trying to read and do some needlework, I would have been grateful for brighter bulbs in the bedside lamps and a little more light upstairs, but most people would probably be OK."
