"we enjoyed this cottage. it has enough space for our family of 5 (inc teens and young adults) and a golden retriever. the cottage was very clean and had most things we needed for a good stay. the Christmas hamper was fabulous and a nice touch. could have done with more seating in the lounge but we brought in a chair from the hall. bathrooms are modern and 3 toilets is always a bonus with teens!the pale carpets were a challenge to keep clean in a wet, muddy and windy week as our dog loves muddy puddles and racing through waves so we appreciated the outdoor tap and hose and we needed this every time we came in from a walk for cleaning dog and boots.Glad we brought lots of dog towels with us! the garden is not absolutely dog proof if you have a dog who jumps up on walls easily just to see what's on the other side! Our dog got out of the garden on the first day as there is a low wall at one end - no harm done as we supervise our dog at all times. Great to have a field behind the house for the early morning canine walks before breakfast.this house is a great location for both North and South coasts and as we enjoy going to both - the location was good."

"Wheal Daniel Cottage was perfect! The welcome basket on arrival was most welcome after a long drive & we were delighted to find such a well equipped, clean cottage, I think just about everything we needed had been provided. It suited our needs perfectly, not easy given our ages ranged from 15 to 75! Although the cottage is very rural, it is very central, we rarely had to drive more than 30 minutes to any of the fabulous places we visited. Jean and Duncan were very friendly and welcoming, they even posted some of my Dads clothes back to us when they discovered he had left them behind. The only minor criticism I have is that there is only seating for 5 in the lounge, although this was easily resolved by bringing in an extra arm chair from the hall. I would not hesitate in recommending this cottage to anyone"

"Me and family arrived at "The Paddock" after a last minute decision to spend new years in Cornwall. When we arrived at the property we were welcomed by the owners who are a lovely couple and couldn't do enough to help us settle in for our stay. The location is set enough out of the way to be nice and quiet whilst only being a couple of minutes drive away the nearest shops and pubs and only 10 minutes from Penzance and St Ives where we spent most of our time. We were told that the we were the 1st guests to stay after the refurbishment and all I can say is that it has been finished to a very nice standard. The beds are very comfy and the en-suit was extremely convenient and clean. Many Thanks to the owners for making our stay so easy and accomadting us on such short notice ( 1day).Highly recommendedThanks again."

"A beautiful cottage, well presented and spacious upstairs and downstairs. With a gorgeous garden, the whole place was very toddler friendly. Our spaniel could escape under the gate or over the wall but luckily for us he chose not to.Easy to walk to the coastal path and to the nearest beach. Perfect location for exploring St Michael's Mount and out to Lands End. Spoilt for choice for day trips out in this stunning part of the country. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Our only negatives were the mattress in the main bedroom is a little uncomfortable, the springs now palpable. And the visitor book was quite limited in its information. But this remains the best cottage we have stayed in within the UK."

"The Lodge is in a great location, set back in a nice garden. On arrival the place was very cold (possibly we were the first guests this year?) and took a while to warm up using just the three electric heaters as the only source of warmth. The property was well equipped and the beds very comfy however, the biggest let down was the bathroom. It was very small, the window wouldn't shut properly, there was mould all over the ceiling and around the shower enclosure. The doors to the shower were also very precarious, the shower very weak and in general it wasn't very clean and is in need of a refurb. That said, we enjoyed our week and it is a good location to explore the area"
