What our customers are saying about our Baby Friendly Cottages In France To Rent.

"This is a lovely, well-equipped house in a secluded setting. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming and, although they did not speak English and we only have school-level French, they took time to show us how everything worked and made sure that we had grasped most of it. Although they only live just up the hill, they were very unobtrusive. They had made clear that we could contact them if there were any problems but everything worked perfectly and we did not see them again until it was time to leave. The house is nearly all on the first floor and is accessible via steps to the outside veranda (which might be difficult for anybody with mobility problems). There is a solarium and a shower and loo on the ground floor, near the pool. The veranda has a table and chairs and the pool has lots of sun loungers, and both have a number of large sunshades in good condition. It was hot and sunny the whole fortnight we were there, with temperatures ranging from 27 – 33C so we really appreciated the pool, which was very clean and well-maintained. Given the heat the house was actually remarkably cool (especially the main bedroom) but we did appreciate the fans in every room – including ceiling fans in the main sitting/ dining room - as well as the iced water dispenser in the fridge freezer. The beds were very clean and comfortable and there were also loads of clean towels to use."

"We stayed at An Ilis for a week over Christmas 2017, we were looking for a remote and quiet accommodation with a short walk to the sea. This was perfect for us. It is a small but very quaint cottage, with all the facilities you’d need. The downstairs is open plan, with a small double bedroom and shower room. Upstairs has two converted bedrooms and a toilet, this area has low ceilings but is fine for children. The accommodation was very clean and well furnished. It has plenty of kitchen equipment, a dishwasher, a microwave and all the other kitchen stuff you’d need, and a washing machine in the building next door. It has a swimming pool and outside patio area (we didn’t use it as it was winter!) The area was very quiet and it is a pretty walk to the sea. The owners were very friendly and put up a Christmas tree and decorations for us prior for our visit, which was a lovely thought, they checked on us half way through our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend if you want a small and remote accommodation."

"We enjoyed our stay at An Ilis very much. We had a very warm welcome from the owners and they were very helpful particularly with our ineptitude with the washing machine. The swimming pool was used every day and it was pleasant to sit in the arm chairs after a swim in the enclosure or to sit in the garden. The cottage is delightful with its nautical theme and ideally situated in a very quiet cul de sac near a historic bread oven and chapel within a short walk of the beach. Le Guilvinic is a bustling busy fishing port with good shops and restaurants just a short distance away. There is a really good shop for bread and patisseries and a small but very adequate supermarket opposite. Pont l’Abbe is within a few miles with super restaurants and shops. All in all we took full advantage of all the varied amenities within a short distance and our first experience of a holiday in Finistere was a good one with a lovely cottage covered pool and kind and delightful owners."

"The cottage was ideal for six adults and a baby. The covered pool was brilliant as we could use it comfortably in October! We also loved the covered seating area just outside the house - very convenient. All the equipment we needed was available and of a good standard, and the house was very tastefully furnished - obviously a lot of thought had gone into it.We enjoyed being able to walk to the town and the beach, and shopping was easy too, yet the location was very peaceful and the environment relaxing. The helpful owners made us very welcome without being intrusive. We would certainly hope to return!"

"Beautiful location, blissfully quiet, just what the doctor ordered! Will need a car to travel about! The couple who owned the cottage were very friendly and the language barrier was easily overcome!! We found the directions to the cottage using our sat nav very easy! We 100% experienced a different culture! We had the swimming pool to ourselves for the whole week we were there!!! It Was a very relaxed atmosphere. If you want a few home comforts tho, ie English radio, TV, food, you’ll need to bring them with you! However We will definitely be returning!"
