"I feel completely ripped off as this cottage did not come up to the £400 per night experience expected . On arrival the owner told us there was no WI FI ...having 2 teenagers in the party wasn't the best start , the cottage was small and cramped and reminded me of a sauna as it was timber clad through out .not to a good standard either , we decided we would make the best of it but here are some of the faults we experienced... cuboards hadn't been cleaned ..fridge filthy ..microwave hadn't been cleaned ..sofa had something sticky on the back of it ..don't believe the place had been cleaned before change over ...no washing up liquid ...no tablets for the dish washer ..no tea coffee salt and pepper ...chewing gum stuck to the bottom of the basin in the sink ...all linen and towels were tired and grey in colour...cushions on sofa thread bare ...kettle needed descaled . The site has a picture of the cottage side on but what it doesn't show is the farm building with farm materials and machinery for you to look out at in the front when you exit the cottage The bottom bedroom was so small you had to push the bed back to get the door closed then there was a sharp bit on the bed that cut my brother in law When the pool was advertised it forgot to mention that it was situated in the owners house some 100 yards from the cottage ,you had to call the owner to make sure you could get in . On New Year's Day we phoned and were told that it was closed but she would open it up for us this was not mentioned when booking , we also run out of toilet paper and were given 1 roll between 6 of us , the whole experience was unprofessional to say the least . I am absolutely fizzing with the fact I paid so much for a place I wouldn't have paid more than £600-00 for now that I have been and experienced the place . I am now waiting to hear what feedback you give me before making my next move ...your website has helped in this deception and you should take some of the responsibility for this debacle . Yours ripped off Alistair Harkness"

"The cottage is beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. Very well equiped with everything we needed for a break with two girls age 11 and 12 and our pet pug. The garden is completely secure so our dog could wander in and out. The swimming pool, hot tub and sauna in the owners house were open for us to use whenever we wanted and the owners were really friendly. Not many places to eat out but there is a large tesco in Forfar about 5 miles away so no problem with shoppping. We had lovely days out in Glamis, Kirriemuir (which was a good cycle ride from the cottage), shopping was good in Dundee and lovely deserted sandy beaches in Montrose and Carnoustie both of which have good childrens play areas as well. The cottage was really warm and cosy so even in winter it would be great. The beds were so comfy and upstairs there is a mezzanine Area which gives some separate private space ideal for teenagers The best thing according to our girls was the llama and two Shetland ponies in the grounds which they could pet and feed apples to - highly recommended."

"Our second stay at Kamba cottage and another great holiday. Myself, Wife, Sons 10 & 6 and Father and Step Mother came this time round and we found found it to be a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area from. The beauty of Kamba is that you also have the added bonus of swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, swings, trampoline and plenty of space for kids to ride on their bikes or scooters so you'll struggle to hear the dreaded "I'm borrrred". The surrounding area is ideal for day trips and you cant beat the stag in Forfar for great food. If you do go great places to visit are * The Stag (Forfar) * Glamis Castle * Dunnottar castle * Stonehaven * Johnshaven * Glen Cova * Glen Cova Hotel ( climbers bar ) * Luna beach (take a pic nic, windbreaker, change of clothes and your set for day.) Loads more places worth visiting, too many to mention......"

"We stayed for 7 days in winter time as family of 4 (kids 4 and 7) and enjoyed our stay.place was clean and tidy with heating controls in every room.kids loved sleeping upstairs with own bathroom etc.only used pool once which was nice, sauna nice but jacuzzi never warm enough.best days out were glenshee ski resort (1hr away).edinburgh zoo.castle ok but expensive.olympia swimming centre in dundee (best ive ever been to).plenty to visit in a car.we dined at nearby finavon hotel, drovers inn, dunachen stone and chapel bank in forfar which were all fantastic.make sure car is full with fuel as petrol garages are non existant in hillside.only annoying thing with cottage is heating pipes bang alot when heating on and spiral stairs need looking at as they are very creeky.all in all a great area to stay at though.many thanks owners."

"The owners are charging high end prices but not delivering high end quality. The beds were really uncomfortable and my husband and I had to sleep separately for the whole 3 nights just to get sleep. It is advertised to sleep 6 but the lay out would only accommodate people with a 3, 1 and 2 due to how beds arranged which is most unlikely. The cottage is tiny with cheap furniture which again was uncomfortable. The pool and hot tub were only available for certain periods and were not great - I think the chemicals were incorrectly applied to be honest. I have to say that if we would have paid half this amount I would not be providing this feedback as you do get what you pay for but on this occasion I felt we didn’t (despite the owner Lynette being lovely and helpful!) I’m afraid we won’t be returning ...."
