"A last minute booking which was so much more than we were expecting. Such good value for money. Lovely surprise of goodies when we arrived.. Very comfortable and well furnished. Included a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and wifi and lots of other useful things you wouldn't normally get in a rented cottage. Very near the beach and harbour. All amenities nearby, lots of nice walks and so much to see and enjoy. Car parking for one car and is a bit tight. The only downside was there was no private outside area and looking at Google Earth beforehand we thought the back was overlooking the sea when in fact it backs onto another building so there are no views at all. Still we made a cuppa and in a dozen paces we were at the beach enjoying the sea air and the vista."

"We're just back from staying in this cottage. When we arrived we were impressed with the views. It is on the shore and the views are amazing. We were incredibly lucky with the weather. The kids were on the rocks exploring every day - the rocks are accessed by climbing down a ladder, not for the fainthearted. The cottage is really well equipped any dish you may need, iron, ironing board, TV, washing machine I could go on. It's 5 min drive from Eyemouth and about 10 from Berwick upon tweed. The only downside is the access road is steep and narrow. But what do you expect for such tranquility. A gorgeous, clean and incredibly well equipped cottage I think we'll be back."

"But once the neighbours on either side woke up with all their children on either side it got very noisy. There was no privacy outside. And the cars drove right past the front door so you had to be careful not to step out quickly. We went for lovely walks. The restaurants and pubs served great food. Early evening we sat the top of the delightful garden (to get a phone signal and 3G) but each time at about 6pm had to go indoors and shut bedroom windows because of the heavy smoke and fumes from the house next door's chimney (Number 10). It was really bad. Clean. Well equipped. The owner v helpful"

"The main thing we were unhappy about was the comfort of the single beds. They are iron framed and look lovely but creak every-time you move which did not result in a good nights sleep. The bedding on these beds was too big for the beds and too hot. Some of the duvets were stained as were the pillow cases. Save for those comments it is a wonderful property. Well equipped in the kitchen. Stylishly decorated and lovely bathrooms. We would stay again but the single beds might have to be changed before we do this."

"The view from the property was fantastic; it looked straight out to sea across the harbour. As there was a balcony we were also able to sit out and enjoy the view. St Abb's is a lovely village and we enjoyed walks out along the coast, particularly around St Abb's Head. We visited Berwick and Edinburgh using the bus from the village, so we were able to leave the car in its parking space for most of the week. We used the car once to go out to see the abbey at Melrose. It really is a fantastic and varied area."
