What our customers are saying about our Half Term Cottages In Eye To Rent.

"Although the property was clean and facilities fairly good there were one or two issues . It felt as though the property had note quite made the transition from family home to holiday let. The ill fitting internal doors had no locks and no microwave oven was provided. When we wished to empty the bins no bin liners were available. The biggest disappointment was the lack of heating in the kitchen. The weather was unseasonably cold during our stay in May and the Aga was obviously not lit but there was no radiator or other form of alternative heating in the kitchen. With temperatures of between 8 c and 11c degrees mealtimes, especially breakfast were a trial rather than a treat and one of our party purchased a fan heater to use during our stay. The bunk bed room had no bedside table lamp which could have been a problem had children been using the room."

"Lovely cottage. Very comfortable and spacious. Good to have a private garden and driveway especially with children and a dog. It felt very safe and peaceful. Very high quality facilities. The cottage was rather remote for us which meant a lot of driving to places of interest, local shops and places to eat. Unfortunately, I was not able to contact the owner before arriving at the cottage and did not know any instructions for getting the key. On arrival, I contacted the Cottages4You customer services who were friendly but unable to help. Phone connection in this remote area was very poor which made contact difficult. We were about to ask the next door neighbours when we found a key safe in the outdoor building and my son managed to work out the code after many attempts. In the cottage there were details of who to contact during our stay, if we had needed."

"The Old Cow Shed was comfortable and the owners, who live next door were interested and pleasant without being obtrusive. Thorndon is pleasant with an excellent pub in the Black Horse and a useful community shop. The Wi-fi provided was good as were the TV and DVD player with a good selection of DVDs. The bathroom has adaptations for a disabled person. The WC is rather high with a block of wood to rest your feet on! Helpful printed information is provided. This is the first holiday cottage that I understood the central heating - so thanks to the owners for that. The place was comfortably warm. Parking was conveniently just outside the front door."

"Really enjoyed our stay at Russell Green Cottage. The location was ideal for us as we wanted privacy and seclusion. The only slight issues we had, which really didn't detract from our enjoyment, was that the upstairs doors squeaked very loudly, so that if anyone got up during the night the rest of our party were disturbed, and also the hot tub area was very dark at night (perhaps we missed a light switch though!) We loved the hot tub and also really appreciated the cakes that were left for us. The owners were responsive and helpful before our arrival, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend and definitely intend to return."

"Bakers cottage is a very beautiful space to be in, a mix of old with new comforts. The garden is pretty large and an enclosed space and although it's next to the owner's home, it felt very private. The location is extremely quiet and the house very clean. The nearest pub and shop are about 1 and a half miles away in the heart of Hoxne. Walks and cycling can be done from the doorstep. It's a perfect rural retreat. Well within an hour of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Norwich and smaller places much closer such as Framlingham and Saxmundham. Duncan us a very friendly and helpful host. It's altogether a wonderful place to stay."
