"We are a family of 8 - Mum, Dad, 6 kids, (our youngest has cerebal palsy). We found the farmhouse as a late booking for Easter. As soon as we got there, the kids wanted to take the house and garden home with us, it is so peaceful and comfortable. The house is old, with beautiful exposed beams everywhere, but the heating really works, it is double glazed, the bathrooms are new, the carpets are thick and we were astonished to find everything we needed from kitchen utensils to toilet roll! There was tea, coffee, milk in the fridge and a cake to welcome us. We visited different attractions every day and sampled the wonderful fish and chips by the coast. We never needed the WiFi because there was plenty to do, and everyone will remember the riotous Junior Pictionary in front of the log burner, with boys v girls and lots of shouting and fun, and the lovely church on Easter morning where the whole congregation moved their seats to accommodate our large family."

"Although the property was clean and facilities fairly good there were one or two issues . It felt as though the property had note quite made the transition from family home to holiday let. The ill fitting internal doors had no locks and no microwave oven was provided. When we wished to empty the bins no bin liners were available. The biggest disappointment was the lack of heating in the kitchen. The weather was unseasonably cold during our stay in May and the Aga was obviously not lit but there was no radiator or other form of alternative heating in the kitchen. With temperatures of between 8 c and 11c degrees mealtimes, especially breakfast were a trial rather than a treat and one of our party purchased a fan heater to use during our stay. The bunk bed room had no bedside table lamp which could have been a problem had children been using the room."

"Lovely cottage. Very comfortable and spacious. Good to have a private garden and driveway especially with children and a dog. It felt very safe and peaceful. Very high quality facilities. The cottage was rather remote for us which meant a lot of driving to places of interest, local shops and places to eat. Unfortunately, I was not able to contact the owner before arriving at the cottage and did not know any instructions for getting the key. On arrival, I contacted the Cottages4You customer services who were friendly but unable to help. Phone connection in this remote area was very poor which made contact difficult. We were about to ask the next door neighbours when we found a key safe in the outdoor building and my son managed to work out the code after many attempts. In the cottage there were details of who to contact during our stay, if we had needed."

"We enjoyed the break. The carriage was lovely and well stocked for our needs. We staying during the heat wave and the extreme heat took its toll on us. The use of the pool was needed. Some cleaning should be done more frequently we saw dead flys in the light bulbs plus dust under bed. Plenty of towels for our use. The extra of washing line was handy. Also the extra freezer in green shed. The blinds could do with an update plus made safer for small kids. The outside furniture a little old, could do with a update. The kids enjoyed the play area and the added badminton net was used. The owners friendly and helpful. We would visit again and stay in a different carriage. The milk and cake was a nice touch. Thank you for an enjoyable stay."

"The Barn was exactly as advertised on the website. We took the family with us and had a marvelous time. The children loved the swimming pool, the bedrooms were all a good size it was clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. The grounds were extensive and very suitable for an evening stroll with our torches. The pool and the Barn were plenty warm enough, in fact we had to turn off some radiators as it was getting too warm! Not many local amenities but that's why we booked it. The nearest large shops were about 15 minutes away. There are plenty of places of interest to see relatively close-by. The owners were very welcoming and quick to respond to any queries we had. We would fully recommend the Barn."
