"We loved staying at Sundance. On our first day, we were welcomed by the friendly owner who lives on the site. She gave us the benefit of her extensive knowledge of the local attractions. The cottage itself was spacious, comfortable and well laid out. The kitchen was fabulous and well-equipped with every cooking-knife, gizmo and coffee-maker (with beans supplied) that you can imagine. There were bowls (glass, ceramic and plastic), tupperwear boxes (for picnics) and all the kit you would need for meals big and large, simple and sophisticated. The hot-tub was lovely when coming home from a hot walk and the swimming pool - ahh so nice and refreshing on a hot day. We were spoilt for choice. The only down side is the road noise from the A30 which runs a few 100 metres away and can be heard with the windows open. However, the upside of our proximity to the road is the speed with which we were able to get out and about. No long drive down narrow, windy roads to get here and there. Ohh and did I happen to mention the pool table, darts room and gym?... We would happily come back here again."

"We were blown away by Horselake Cottages the moment we walked through the door, the kitchen/living area is so impressive! The welcome hamper was a really nice touch, with the Devonshire tea being a real delight!Sheila was lovely, very accommodating at showing us around the cottage and running over how everything worked. She also gave us a number of glowing recommendations for local places, one being The Tom Cobley for a Sunday roast (which was incredible!)The entire cottage is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It is also very clean and tidy (I didn’t give 100% for cleanliness due to some missed hoovering/dusting under the living room tv unit, other than that the place was spotless!)We had a great weekend celebrating and friends hen do and would love to stay here again for a reunion, such a lovely stay, we were all very sad to leave!Thank you for having us!"

"We are a family of six adults and one eight year old and stayed at Honey Pippin for one week. The house was very clean; the rooms were of a good size, and the kitchen was well equipped. We found having only two bathrooms a bit of a problem as we needed to timetable use of them between the six adults. This was particularly a problem for the couple sleeping on the top floor with only access to the house toilet and a small basin on the same floor. Minor problems with the coffee machine were sorted quickly. The hot tub was great but the pool fairly cold, despite it being heated. There was plenty of space to play games and the local pub, which serves food, was near enough to walk within ten to fifteen minutes. The owner was friendly and happy to provide hints and tips on places to visit in the area and provide a BBQ to use."

"All good.Fantastic property to have stayed in; very friendly & helpful owners. Improvement Actions- Better games room/play area/ gym equipment & set up than offered; v tired- Pool - was freezing for first few days; therefore not used as would have liked as simply too cold for kids- Showers/Bathrooms - would expect better standard for money; kitchen conversely had all mod cons- Stream by BBQ area - smell of sewage (?)- Dog fouling on lawn; not ceared up & more whilst thereMy pet hate with these arrangements. I don't have some basics included- washing up liquid/ dishwasher tablets/ bin bags etc"

"An excellent cottage, with super kitchen equipment - a real home from home. Very friendly and helpful owner. We have a 6 month old Springer Spaniel - the small enclosed garden area was great, but even better was the large grassed area literally across from the cottage, so he hardly ever needed to be on a lead. The cottage was spotless when we arrived. Showers were great too!!"
