What our customers are saying about our Family Cottages In England To Rent.

"The cottage itself is quite nice but in need of a bit of TLC. The downstairs bathroom door was slightly warped and in need of planing, there was a water stain on the carpet in the downstairs bedroom and the shared outdoor gas bbq was filthy when we arrived. It was a hot weekend when we were there but there were no fans in the property and when you opened the door/windows the property was inundated with flies - a simple fly screen at the door would have helped. The upstairs bathroom smelt damp throughout our stay, despite opening windows to let some air in.Also, shared outdoor space is fine if your neighbours are friendly - ours were not. Their children prevented ours from playing on toys provided by the property, they hogged the pool and caused a confrontation over the booking system which they claimed not to understand. Perhaps if this had been managed by the owner rather than visitors it could have been prevented. It's a nice property, with plenty of space for youngsters to let off steam but it could be an outstanding property in time. The owner is lovely however, and incredibly helpful with her local knowledge."

"We felt at home straight away in this beautifully presented cottage, a lot of care has obviously been taken to create a comfortable and welcoming environment. The property was very clean with nice crockery, toiletries and accessories provided. The owners had also left a welcome pack with cake, milk, jams etc. which was most kind and thoughtful of them. The location was very peaceful and ideal for exploring the East Yorkshire coast and Moors, with the coastal path being just a short walk from the front door. The neighbours were welcoming and friendly and ready to provide local information if required. All together we had a very relaxing and enjoyable week in this beautiful part of the country. Our suggestion for improvement would be to provide an iron, ironing board and hairdryer for use by guests. Thank you for a great time."

"We had a lovely, relaxing holiday. Mullins Cottage is truly in a beautiful location, set in a tremendous part of Yorkshire’s countryside all laid out in the views from the downstairs windows.Milo the pony and Goat the goat are either by the gate to welcome you or hanging their shiny, chestnut head over the garden gate to say hello.Comfortable beds and lovely, warm radiators on cooler end of September evenings makes Mullins Cottage a good choice when staying out of season. The only reason I didn’t award it as 10 overall was the lack of a shower cubicle or proper shower fitment over the bath. We did enjoy Mullins though, very much. A friendly congregation at nearby St. Thomas’ in Gristhorpe also added to a feeling of being made very welcome during our holiday.Kate, the owner couldn’t have been more helpful, thank you."

"Cottage is part of a very well converted barn, with a lot of top of the range equipment.Very peaceful and pleasant location though nothing was within easy walking distance, i.e. shop, pub etc. The furniture in the lounge though inkeeping with the building could have been better - 1 long settee that had seen better days and 2 easy chairs. 2 settees would be better and more comfortable. The bathroom, again looks really good, but with no separate shower or shower curtain not ideal as water gets everywhere, and not everyone would be able to get in and out of the deep bath easily. The bedrooms were well furnished and very comfortable."

"Location is rural, local shop/café carry very little everyday goods. Construction College shop better but obviously more expensive. Swimming pool is cool and as salt water smells a bit like SeaWorld Hunstanton. Couldn't leave doors/windows open as inundated with flies and then spent time either killing them or spraying with fly killer. Mattresses need to be updated - master suite both sides of the bed have dips which you have to fit into or it's uncomfortable. Must be a lovely property in the summer being able to open the doors/windows/swimming pool doors. Just not for me, I like windows open 24/7. Sorry."
