"When we arrived at the premises Hillcroft, it was blowing a gale and raining. However when we entered the premises there were electric storage heaters installed, but they we not switched on. The only other heating was an electric convector heater on the wall in the bedroom! Also, there was only a thin summer quilt on the double bed, and no additional bedding in the premises. When the owner arrived at 6:00PM, she stated that we could not use the storage heaters as they used too much electricity! Instead she offered a small oil filled electric radiator, and a winter quilt for the bed! We then found that there were no instructions for the bath shower, and the plug in the bathroom since did not hold the water in. As a result, we had to wash in the kitchen sink! The toilet seat was loose, and when you flushed the toilet it flushed twice by itself. There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe, so coats and shirts could only be hung on the back of the front door at the bottom of the stairs. The kitchen equipment was basic, with only essential utensils, the light over the cooker did not work, and was replaced by a battery light, but the batteries were dead! Need I say anymore! As a result of the cold accommodation, and the other points above, we have left the premises this morning. From the initial response by the owner I did not bother to raise these points with her."

"BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY HERE NOW IT IS AMAZING, this cottage is gorgeous, very clean and cosy. You will have fab sleeps as the beds are so comfy. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the pretty, well kept garden and lovely comfy summer house. Riverside walks with the dog and watching deer in the field in the evening is a treat. CONGRATULATIONS THE HOSTS ON RECEIVING THE CUSTOMER AWARD 2018, so well deserved, great hosts. Super fast internet is really good. Can recommend Dents for Sunday lunch, bit expensive but very worth it, about 5 mins away. Reeds in Downham Market is very reasonable, good for hot meals, snacks or just cake and coffee while shopping. Fishing outside the cottage is also good and mixed varied bags have been caught. Needless to say, again we loved our visit to Green Bank and are already booked for later in the year too. Have now lost count of the number of holidays we have spent there, it is just so relaxing and restful. Can thoroughly recommend."

"Unfortunately first impressions let this property down. The holiday park itself is in need of tlc and is a little run down. The swimming pools were a bonus. Valley lodge could be greatly improved with a bit of care to the outside - fixing the lodge number for starters. When venturing in we found a few left over wrappers, sweets in a cupboard and a flannel from previous occupants. However the crockery was all clean as were the beds and the bathrooms. I was disappointed there was no soap within the property and luckily I’d brought my own washing up liquid. The master bed was rock hard and had the noisiest springs which didn’t make for a restful night. There was also no information whatsoever within the property regarding the site; such as swimming pool openings, or about the property - bins etc. Overall we had a good holiday and enjoyed our stay but first impressions were underwhelming and could easily be improved."

"Had a great time in Filety the property is in an excellent location right in the centre. Plenty of space for 8 people and all the equipment anyone could ever need. In the bunk room it could be improved if the blinds were blackout as they are thin wooden ones which let a lot of light in and considering the room is aimed at children this isnt ideal. The king and twin also only have thin office style blinds. In addition, on arrival we also had to scrub and bleach the garden table and chairs which had not been cleaned for at least a year which was a shame and would only take a few minutes to wipe down if done regularly. Some instructions on how to work showers and heating would also be helpful."

"Two weeks since our last visit to Green Bank Cottage and what a wonderful week we had there, again. The sun shone, the fish were biting, the tranquility as always was great. An autumn break there would be amazing, the last embers of a beautiful sunny summer. Hazy sunrises across a misty river, bright clear days and cozy, warm evenings in by twinkly lit fire grates. So lovely.Lovely cottage and gardens, very well looked after. So comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and peaceful holiday, more than a home from home. Fab hosts are very friendly and helpful. So now all that is left to do is book my next year visits to Green Bank Cottage."
