What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Gardens In Ely To Rent.

"The best cottage we have ever stayed in. Alison was the perfect host who made you feel welcome and at home. The cottage is very spacious, 3 good sized bedrooms, fantastic fully fitted kitchen with plenty of crockery and utensils, there was even tea, coffee, milk, a bowl of fruit, 2 bottles of wine, orange juice and other essentials provided by Alison . Large wetroom with many toiletries provided. Beautiful lounge with extremely large sofas. Very tastefully decorated. Excellent quiet location. Cottage was spotlessly clean. we feel that there is nothing that Alison can do to better this cottage she should be proud of her 5 star cottage. Special thanks to Alison for Davids birthday card and cake, and for the apples from the trees We will not hesitate to return or recommend anybody to book this cottage. "

"The location was very good for our purposes and the space, cleanliness and general appearance was good. However, we had a couple of issues, i.e. although we kept the windows shut and the garden doors rarely open we were plagued a bit by flies and did wonder if their was a nest somewhere in the house or there was an aperture where they were getting in - a word in the owners ear might be a good idea. The water pressure in the showers were very weak, but may be there is an issue in that area. Presentation- wise, it was pretty good, but the window frames were a bit dirty and needed repainting. It just let the presentation down a bit. Otherwise, we were very comfortable and appreciated the welcome pack. We would stay there again as the location was very good for us."

"Lovely relaxing cottage. We only needed two bedrooms but super to have a feeling of space. Great big table in the kitchen for family meals and garden enclosed for our dog which is not always the case in cottages that allow dogs. 10 minutes from the house and you can be on a train to Cambridge which is beautiful. There were dog walks near the house but the weather was not great for our week so wellies needed. Children enjoyed the park zip slide too. We did find the lack of a drier an issue, especially with children; we did put clothes over the radiators- handy to have so many. Also with a long estate car, it was difficult to get out and in the gate as cars were always parked along the road directly opposite the gate. It took some negotiating!"

"I think, it was the owner who met me there as we couldn't get in, due to no keys being in the keycode box, he was very friendly and apologetic. The house itself could really do with being updated by decoration to make it fresher. The boiler is horrendously noisey but works very well. The water pressure in the ensuite shower and the main bathroom shower is awful, if your expecting a power shower you will be disappointed. Although the appliances and furniture were clean, the carpets really do require a wash or even better, replaced. The stairs and every single floorboard up stairs squeaked like I've never heard before. I feel awful for writing this but, honesty is a must."

"It met our needs, however there were a number of niggles, the floors and stairs creaked when walked on and we had to tighten up the wing nuts on the toilet pan and on the towel ring in the en suite which came off it's bracket. The shower cubicle in the en suite is rather small and if you are not careful you can turn off the shower on/off lever. Some confusion over the waste disposal ie the wording in the welcome book and the instructions on the bins. There were only 5 mugs should have been 6.None of these are major issues but need to be attended to before other major problems occur.I accept the shower size would be difficult to resolve."
