"Rose Cottage is one of three one-bedroom units in a converted farm building. The conversion has been done recently, to a high standard, and the interior is very attractive and comfortable. The heating is very effective and is controlled from within, so that one can keep the cottage at a very comfortable temperature. The beds and armchairs are very comfortable. On the downside, it appears that the building was once a cow-byre or even pigsties, because the 'gardens' are small enclosures, each with a cement floor and quite a high wall. This is covered by plastic grass and is not attractive. There is nowhere to sit outside on a fine day and admire the view because the walls are too high. Everything is spotlessly clean and freshly painted, however. Really, decking is needed, to make the outdoor area more pleasant and raise the level of the sitting area. Another issue with Rose Cottage is that there is nowhere to park directly outside the cottage.. Everything must be carried through two gates and around the side of the cottage. The parking area is generous, however, and very neat and well-kept. There are a number of other farm buildings around the parking area and it appears that in due course, they could all be converted into holiday cottages. The farm and outbuildings are built in typical West-Walian style. They are simply built and not pretty, although they are very well-maintained. The owners have bought the farm quite recently and it may well be that, as time goes by, they will plant shrubs and generally beautify the farm. It does not appear to be a working farm.Equipment in the cottage includes a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, all immaculate. There are towels, loo rolls and hand-wash in the immaculate bathroom. The attractive kitchen area has very basic cooking equipment, as well as dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and teatowels. The oven and hob are electric and of good quality. I could have done with a scouring pad, a sieve and a larger frying pan. The one in the cupboard will hold two fried eggs; a rasher of bacon is too long to fit. These are small gripes. Actually, the cottage is beautifully equipped.I would certainly recommend this cottage as a holiday venue. There are plenty of interesting places within quite easy reach, including beaches. The nearest supermarket is a small Co-operative in Whitland, a couple of miles away. The nearest eating place is a pub within easy walking distance."

"Sadly I cannot agree with many reviews. First we where greeted by an awful smell it was coming from the utility cupboard that was as you come in property. The room was like a junk room it was a mess not what you want to see on holiday having paid £350.00 5 nights. Then the bathroom yes it’s gorgeous however first shower the whole floor flooded the water was not going down I looked and yes the plug was blocked. Husband had no choice but to lift the little trap and wow I have never seen so much horrible gunk in a plug or shower tray this was months worth of hair and gunk. This should be a weekly job. The rest of kitchen was nice except tumble dryer not fit for purpose took 4 hours to dry towels condenser one. And under the edge of the gorgeous sink needed a deep clean black mild everywhere. The cushions on the large corner seating where so full of dog hairs it was unusable. These should be hoovered each week. But the worst thing was the neighbor over the road 1 smokes cannabis all day everyday so the smell in the air is horrible. The other spend the entire time screaming at his kids. The caravan that is falling apart outside the cottage door is not a nice view either. Then the thing that really annoyed me most was the morning we where leaving about 9.30am the owner sat with cleaner in 2 cars outside waiting for us to leave this was not nice to be honest should leave turning up till after checkout 10am as going to and from car having someone watching is rather rude I may as well have been at home. One more thing to add the cottage nextdoor stairway and door is facing the chapels door the person staying was a smoker and smoked out on steps making it very uncomfortable whenWanting to go and take dog out. This is not owners fault but just a reminder that if looking for a private cottage this is not it. Shame really as the chapel all though needs a freshen up windowsills cupboards etc. It was really sweet graveyard was amazing just could not sit out unless you wanted to get high. This is not owners fault but I wish I had known before paying for a 4 star place that is rather like home."

"We have just returned from a fabulous short break at Rose Cottage. It was beautifully presented and very clean with everything we needed. The owners were really welcoming both with us and our giant dog (she was very spoiled with a large field to run around in). The sheep and gorgeous goats just over the patio wall were a pleasure to wake up to. The location was great for us, peaceful and a short drive from lots of places to visit. We managed to fit in Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot, Pendine Sands and the most spectacular walk around Lily Ponds to Broadhaven beach (an absolute must). Everywhere was really dog friendly which was great. Within a 5 minute walk from the cottage, there is the Sporting Chance Pub. The Landlady was a real pleasure to meet and the food fantastic, catering for both my meat loving husband and for me being a gluten free veggie - best meal I have ever eaten outside my own kitchen! We can't wait to visit again 😄"

"We had an amazing 4 days at the Chapel, it was well equipped and wanted for nothing, although I did suggest maybe a stool or hand rail in the shower, but we are disabled it would not be a problem for anyone able bodied. The owners are not only on the ball with what humans want they obviously love animals as well, leaving Boneo and blankets and towel for pets is both thoughtful and much appreciated. although i do always have my own doggy blankets. and towels its nice to know that had I forgotton something it would have been there anyway. The Welsh cakes, milk, butter and eggs are a nice touch, and along with the tea, coffee and sugar that are in the cupboard make it possible to have refreshments as soon as you arrive after a long journey they are appreciated,"

"We definitely recommend The Chapel. It's a lovely unique property, converted to a great standard and incorporating original features. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and peaceful. It's a great base from which to explore Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Stackpole etc by car. However, there is nothing within walking distance.I was slightly concerned having read a previous review about the neighbours across the lane. However, we had no issues at all. Apart from the occasional dog bark they went unnoticed.Give The Chapel a go!"
