"It could be fantastic with a few adjustments. In both the twin rooms upstairs only 1 of the skylights had working blinds. And the windows that did have blinds, the blinds were light coloured so didn’t really do anything to keep the light out. My children were up with the sun every morning and so were we. I booked the cottage on the premise that there was WiFi available. It was definitely one of the main criteria when we were looking for accommodation. We have small children who go to bed early and we wanted to watch films on the computer. Also, they like to relax with their kindles after a busy day exploring. Unfortunately, there was no WiFi available in Goose Cottage. I really feel that this cottage cannot be advertised as WiFi enabled and feel quite angry that it is not as advertised. We asked the vendors and were told they had someone coming Monday. There was still no WiFi when we left. On the other hand, my children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals everyday and the owner was lovely with the children. Very patient with the thousand questions asked. I feel quite bad with the low scores as most things were great, but our main criteria wasn’t sufficiently met."

"The cottage made a good central point to visit the area. It was clean, nicely presented, and quite comfortable. The people around about were very friendly and welcoming. However, there were a few things that prevented the cottage from feel like that special place you would want to come back to. Delabole has a good pub, a Spar and a Fish and Chip shop, but otherwise perhaps isn't as charming as many of the surrounding villages. The drive is very tight, rough and quite difficult to turn into and shared with other houses. Parking is very limitted at the cottage and on the road. Outside the cottage looked a little untidy and un-cared for. The grass was very long and full of weeds making it difficult to use the outside space. Unfortunately inside the dishwasher was not working and during our stay the boiler broke down so we had no hot water, although that was fixed pretty quickly by the house manager, Ian. Basically, it did not feel as nice a place to stay as other cottages we have rented, although clearly the area around is very popular."

"Our family has two adults and three children and we had plenty of room for all of us. This cottage had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay and in fact there were even a few extras we did not expect such as body boards and wet suits. We also had some food and drink waiting for us when we arrived. Next time we wont need to pack so much as there was a washing machine and tumble dryer as well. Rachel the owner of the property was very nice and helpful and gave us clear advice on the cottage and local area.I thought the location of the property was excellent and is about 9 miles from the beaches at Bude, 27 miles from Tintagel, 2 miles from the nearest shops, 47 miles from Polperro. The surf at Bude beach was excellent and we finished each day with the body boards on the beach. We will be booking this cottage again for our next holiday as it really felt like a home from home. Just one minor problem was that the beds and floorboards creak can wake people up but having said that it does add character to the property."

"We have stayed at Kingfisher Barn several times as it is a convenient location for visiting nearby family. We have returned because it is a pleasant place to stay and suits us well. The bed is very comfortable. The bath towels are a good size, unusual in a holiday let. The wifi was very efficient this time after problems on our last visit. It's nice to find a carton of milk in the fridge and biscuits and tea on the worktop on arrival. Our minor niggles are a lack of basic items such as a tea towel and a washing up brush/sponge or dishwasher tablets. Apart from a bottle of washing up liquid there was nothing so we had to purchase a pack of sponges and a box of dishwasher tablets and take the reminder home with us. The first time we stayed there was a nice set of matching crockery but now a mix of different plates, huge mugs and tiny wine glasses. Overall it works though and I am sure we will be back."

"Kettles On a lovely remote bungalow type cottage. Yvonne the owner was a lovely person who dropped us off to pick up the car when we left it at the nearest pub the previous night. Nearest pub was over 4 miles away. Which if you want a quiet holiday would be ideal. However if you would like a livelier holiday the cottage might be a bit remote. The cottage itseself was a spacious two bedroomed cottage with underfloor heating throughout. It was kept very clean. We arrived and there was high teas (scones, jam And cream) waiting for us and a fresh bowl of fruit. Very nice touch. The cottage had everything required for a good relaxing stay. It was situated centrally for you if you wanted to discover the surrounding Cornish area. We had an excellent stay and seen a lot of the sights you would expect to see and the cottage was a good base for this.."
