"On the edge of a large housing estate this property was surprisingly quiet & a lovely place to stay. As the owners house is above the property I think we were lucky they were away for the week ensuring we had a greater level of privacy & quiet than might perhaps be the normal case. The property was fine but on arrival there is some incomplete work at the front of the house, also an area of decking on the lower level where work is ongoing - I think these need to be finished off as soon as possible. A very minor critism is that one had to go into the bedroom to get a decent Wi-Fi signal, it barely worked for me in the lounge. Two of our party have very basic Sky packages but this property had far fewer channels (or we failed to find them). However, picture quality was excellent on the terrestial channels & the few others we found. This was fine for us but as there has been a previous negative review relating to Sky perhaps the expectations need to be set a little lower by making it clear which Sky channels are available. We enjoyed our stay, bedrooms, bathrooms & kitchen were excellent, we found the lounge a little cramped but the hot tub was excellent as was the various garden spaces."

"The place was very clean, but there was things that ruined it for me. They are as followZip and link bed was uncomfortable and had feather quilt and pillows, which with asthma is a no no.Hot tub stank of stale water and there was no smell of chlorine, which is strange.Every morning at 7am it sounded like an elephant was upstairs stomping around, had no lie in on holiday as this just woke you up and kept you up.In the kitchen you have all the equipment to bake a cake, but no oven trays. There are different settee's in the place to the pictures, and if there is 4 of you it is very compact. They are uncomfortable and very small. You are in a residential estate and are a very long walk away from shops or pubs, need a car.But the place was clean, you were provided with towels and everything you need to start your holiday. The owners were friendly and kept away all of the holiday, so you cannot complain about that. But despite my complaints we still had a good holiday, so it is not all bad. Just a few things annoyed us."

"Absolutely loved staying at Lea Farm what a wonderful setting! The views from the garden of Bullock Lodge are stunning. The cottage is beautiful and well equipped and the bathroom shower an absolute treat! Our hosts Penny and Ben were superb, so friendly and accommodating. They let us bottle feed some lambs who were only a day old (I completely fell in love) and we also saw some lambs being born. The lambs in the fields behind the cottage were a treat to watch especially at dusk when they jumped and skipped, so sweet. Absolutely recommend staying here there are really nice pubs to eat in which are a short drive away and a lovely farm shop only a few minutes drive away. All in all a lovely stay, only downside we only stayed the weekend which wasn't long enough! Will definitely be going back x"

"Having rented cottages for the past 20 years, we sadly have to be very candid with this review on Ox Cottage We feel that that this Cottage to be very tired, the ambiance was like an unkept back yard, not what we would call a holiday home. The brochure showed rolling fields, they were there but the only view from the Cottage was a desolate yard with a rusty bath and chairs and an old wooden shed. The flower troughs appeared to have been neglected or an after thought. The promise of a welcome pack was not kept, as was the first basket of logs. The heating seemed to have no occupier control. To say we were disappointed is an understatement, it spoilt our holiday, waste of money. Most people only get one holiday a year and it is so upsetting to feel let down like this."

"We had such a lovely, lovely time. I'd go back in a heart beat... The dogs had a brilliant time on there walks... Very dog friendly place, lovely pub food in the area.. If we had to be picky, could do with a little up date, a bigger telly and when we turned up there was loads of dead and nearly dead flies and no fly killer anywhere. Could of done with a pint of milk in there as we arrived late afternoon and dying for a cup of tea, to late to go out and find a shop as we was shattered with the drive there.. Perhaps next time I'll take my own milk😀 Overall, it's a lovely quite place to be, a lovely cottage and we did feel at home.. Thank you for that!! 😘"
