"This could have been a great break, unfortunately it was not presented at its best. We arrived at 15:00 but were unable to enter the cottage until 15:15 because the cleaners were still there. I am not sure what they cleaned because the carpets downstairs didn't look like they had been cleaned. The shower in the master bedroom did not work. When we located the fuse board the shower fuse had red tape covering it. The sower in the second double bedroom had a blocked drain, I had to buy some drain cleaner to clear the blockage. In the kitchen the fridge door was broken. In the utility room the front of the washing machine was broke. In the living room both sofa were well worn one with a loose arm the other with a loose back. You are given a local contact number if you have any issues. The number starts 009 which means you would have to make an international phone call to Dubai which is quiet expensive by mobile so I didn't call it.Apart from this the beds were comfortable and the rest of the cottage was comfortable and reasonably equipped."

"Excellent, spacious accommodation. Four bedrooms and three bathroom/toilets were wonderful, no need to wait. At last a property with comfy beds and pillows. The property seems very rural at first but within easy reach of Dunoon, 10 minute drive away. The back of Benmore Botanic gardens is a very short walk away as is Pucks Glen, 30 minutes walk away. The hot tub was wonderful, in particular after a day walk with the dog. A great variety of dog walks right outside the hamlet, no need to take the car. My son and I climbed Beinn Mhor with wonderful views of the area. Terrific scenery. Our dog loved the River Massan with lots of swimming pools. Would definitely stay again as all my family loved the house and location. One small point was that there could have been a Labrador proof fence to keep my dog from going round the front especially when we were in the hot tub."

"The house was everything we hoped it would be and more.We wanted a bit of luxury and that is what we got. A beautiful house with everything we needed. My nephew enjoyed the ice machine on the fridge freezer and we all enjoyed the filtered water feature too. The welcome scones and bubbly were well received too. Gordon and Janet were welcoming hosts and were on hand with local knowledge as and when we needed it. My hubby enjoyed his games of golf at Strone golfcourse with Gordon in particular. Very challenging and steep! We would love to return if we can get availability but totally understand why it is so popular. If you want somewhere good to eat try The Osbourne in Inellan which was very good and for provisions on the hop the Cothouse garage/shop is well stocked."

"An excellent and stylish accomodation with perfect facilities, exactly as decribed, in a really nice environment. A carefully and lovingly restored manor house with a long and notable history with many links to Scotch history. A perfect starting point to explore the underestimated west coast and the cities of Scotland. There is an easy and direct link via ferry boat and train to go to Glasgow and Endinburgh. Oban, Inveraray Castle and much more could be easily reached by relaxed car trips. The internet description shows reality, it is really like the pictures. All our expectations had been exceeded. A very kind and friendly host family completes this perfect impression. We definitely will come back."

"This cottage is graded a 3 star but I would say a 5 star location. It was perfect for us and our dog who just adored the freedom of the garden and the forest easily accessible beyond the cottage. The cottage was clean and everything worked as it should, our host could not be more helpful. The local pub (The Ardentinny) is dog friendly and had a great menu we visited three times during our stay!We had an amazing time, sometimes staying local but we also managed a trip over to Bute.My only score of an 8 for local amenities is due to no local shop without getting in the car, but being organized this is easily resolved. A great holiday with many happy memories."
