"When we contacted to arrange the arrival, the owner turned out to be on holiday. The keys were left for us on the inside of the front door. We did not meet the owners after their return from the holiday, so left the keys but left where we found them! The house is in rural area (view of cows, a pig, chickens and geese!). The road on which it is located is very quiet with almost only local traffic. The house is not big but big enough for two people. There are beds for four people, but we think the house is too small for that. We were not so happy about how it was cleaned (or how it was not cleaned!). Sanitary was not clean, on the plates that we got out of the closet were leftovers. First everything that we used was washed away! Beds were clean and neatly made. On the table at the entrance we found a bottle of wine and a lot of delicious cookies, one nice gesture. In the vicinity you will find small villages such as Fresville and at a maximum of 30 minutes drive some larger villages such as St Mere Eglise, Montebourgh and Carentan. The larger villages you really need for groceries and petrol. Finding a restaurant that was open in the evenings turned out to be a challenge, many things served lunch but no dinner."

"This year we went back to Normandy for our D-Day tour, some things that we have missed in 2014 or not available yet to have arrived. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner that a Dutchman turned out to be. As a welcome, there was a bottle of cider and a box with a kind cakes with an almond flavor in the form of a parachute (which is very appropriate at Ste Mère Eglise) on the table. The cottage is peacefully situated outside the village of Fresville on as "n 5 km from the famous Ste Mère Eglise. You have the cottage lot of privacy, is cozy and for two persons with two dogs big enough. The friendly owner which lives in the big house behind it, we except upon arrival, only seen again upon departure. However, you could get him if you had him unexpectedly needed to call on both its fixed number, or on his cell phone. both numbers are in cottage there. The cottage has a large fully fenced garden, which was ideal for our two Border Collies. I could keep doing well in this big yard with dog frisbee and I could even a hunting trail off before they get them apart physically too keep mentally engaged. They were also together"

"The cottage was beautifully decorated with a fabulous range of artwork on display in every room (including toilet). It is a big, so more than enough room for a family or a couple with three dogs (like us). The grounds are big as well so plenty for children and dogs to explore, although the gardens were a bit overgrown so need a bit of work. Very quiet and peaceful. The owners have left a very comprehensive personalised guidebook for the local area which we used a lot. The cottage is in a reasonable location for seeing the sights of Normandy with the various D Day beaches around 30-60 min drive away . Bayeux is about a 60 min drive away. Mont St Michel about a 90 min drive. The nearest town, Periers, is about 20 min drive away. The local village has a small shop with the most basic goods on sale, but nothing else. So if you like to eat out each night, you'll need to drive at least 20-25 minutes to find something. The cottage said it has wifi but this is limited and indeed I couldn't get it to work while I was there. Generally a fantastic cottage and we hope to go back soon."

"With great pleasure I spent two weeks in cottage Zoe. What a beautiful house. Great care was given to the decoration and I could call anything on what is missing from the inventory. Nice landlord, very friendly ontvangst.Het house is situated in the village. Creances is a quiet town with friendly people who are open to a chat. Unfortunately, that did not work, because my French is quite sunk. I'd pour me another time in advance on a language course Frans.Er is wifi, the best reception is outside, sitting on the wall. Reception is not always good, but personally I find no problem. Nice walk with the dog on the beach. In the area there is in all directions with an hour away from doing anything. Nice places in the area, plenty of history, culture and nature. And because it's summer vacation was fun and lively markets in the omgeving.Nog not finished looking into Normandy and the cottage is definitely recommended!"

"We were very kindly welcomed by the owner who gave us a tour immediately and provided the necessary information. The apartment offers plenty of space and privacy and has the appearance of a small country house. The layout is neat and there is (sleeping) seating for up to four people. We slept very well, thanks to the excellent beds and the very quiet surroundings! The house has no wide view, but there is everything to discover for people who love picturesque towns with castles and churches, beautiful coasts with beaches and rocks and of course the places that recall the invasion of 1944. We visited Valognes (just a few kilometers away, with plenty of choice of supermarkets!) the Cap de la Hague, St-Vaast-la-Hougue, Barfleur, St -Sauveur-le-Vicomte, Bricquebec and the War Museum in Ste-Mere-Église. Of course we have also read a lot of lazy reading in the very spacious garden! We can look back on a great holiday!"
