"We had an excellent time at Tulchan Lodge and would definitely like to visit again. A very relaxing time inside the lodge and outside on the lovely well maintained and furnished garden. Access via the private road is a bit rough but once you get to the property drive it's very impressive. The views from the lodge are amazing and not another living soul in site apart from sheep, cows and the wild pheasants. The lodge itself is very spacious, we were a party of 16 (4 families of 2 adults & 2 children) therefore 2 rooms and a bathroom per family so everyone had their own space too. The large living room was hardly used, the large dining room was used only once as we spent most of our time in the kitchen/family area and conservatory. Basic Sky TV channels available but that was hardly watched, the WiFi service was very good specially on the ground floor and some rooms on the upper floors. The weather was good enough to to have a lovely BBQ with the gas BBQ provided We had some minor issues with the water supply in the turret bathroom and the top floor bathroom but it was minor and possibly due to so many people having showers at the same time. We also had problems getting the gas oven to work but the agar more than made up for it. None of these spoilt our stay.Overall very good value for money and we were very happy with Tulchan Lodge."

"Stayed at cottage from 6th July-13th July, location, scenery and hot tub fabulous although hot tub was not the cleanest when we arrived although my husband had mentioned this concern to owners after reading previous visitors reviews. They ought to be maintaining hot tub daily especially when a party of 6 as we were are using it daily. The cottage itself was a huge disappointment 😔 back bedrooms bed is badly broken and expect a visit to chiropractors after your stay. Extractor for cooker not working, dining table leg broken, one of single beds broken, practically no running hot water in bathroom sink and not much power in shower. No bike shed as stated, front bedroom wardrobe doors broken, bbq filthy on arrival, hoover smelt of wet dog which was absolutely disgusting also musty smell in bedroom cupboard aswell as throughout whole cottage on arrival. Overall was really dissatisfied would recommend overhaul and replacement of many items especially the hoover. In no way good value for money costing much more than it’s worth. Certainly would not be returning 😡😡"

"On our many stays in cottages around the UK we have never received such a lovely welcome before. The norm being a key safe, a code and let yourself in, approach. The owner, Lynne, met us when we arrived at the cottage and greeted us with such warmth we felt at home as soon as we stepped over the threshold. A nice touch was that Lynne then briefly gave us a heads-up about the cottage and Crieff in general (which we were later very gratefully for), and had gone out of her way to provide us with a superb welcome pack to make the sure we had everything we needed to get our stay started, there was even a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us! The cottage, beautifully decorated, with some very creative personal touches added by Lynne, has all the amenities you could wish for. Ideally located for anyone wanting to visit the great attractions and glorious countryside this area of Scotland has to offer, we highly recommend Thistle cottage to make your stay memorable."

"There was definitely a WOW moment on arrival . Great size of rooms . Great ambience .We had a marvellous weekend and everyone had a fantastic time . We are recommending this to anyone who will listen . The absence of WiFi and only one bar on the phone of the person who had a Vodaphone contract made it a throwback to the good old days when board games ruled and no one played with their phone , texting and messaging whilst having dinner. In fact the absence of modern enhancements was a major factor in the success of the weekend . The weather was abysmal but who cared ! You could be picky and say that the sofas and chairs though fitting the house ,desperately needed recushioning and that the the bathrooms needed upgraded , but who cares . Take wine . CD`s , games and good intent . ENJOY!"

"We had a great time for two weeks using the lodge as a base for my daughters wedding. The furnishings are older than the house itself and lend to the place a lot of character. Location is superb if you like it quiet with great scenery and a central base to explore from. One thing I loved is plenty of heat and hot water as you need it. We were preparing for a wedding with a house full of guests and still never ran out of hot water. The lodge loses marks a little for having little worktop space in the kitchen which is frustrating when you are catering for a party. Also approach track needs attention. You don't need a 4x4 today but if it deteriorates too much more then maybe. None of that would stop me from staying again though and I recommend it to others."
