"We have Just returned from a week at the Gull lodge. (2 adults and 3 children) The location is perfect for visiting port Isaac with a couple of public footpaths leading into the village. Theres a handy co-op within walking distance of the lodges plus a playground situated at the top car park of the village which is fantastic if you have small children. We arrived at the lodge at lunchtime and received a very warm welcome from the owners. The lodge was ready on arrival and we were very pleased to hear that the heating was on all ready for us. The lodge itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We did use the on site laundry room once which was very handy after a muddy walk. The lodge itself is very good value for money. Despite the lodge being clean inside, the outside did let it down. My only negative comment would be that the windows were extremely dirty and covered in bird mess which did spoilt the views. Overall we had a fantastic week and we would most definitely recommend."

"The one local amenity The Village Inn, was excellent. I would recommend this to able bodied people. The managers were very efficient and friendly. But if one of your party needs a really accessible property: There are grab rails around the downstairs toilet and a slope to the front door; Both upstairs and downstairs showers are over bath, not easy for the over 80's in our party and completely inaccessible for my father who needs assistance walking; there are no grab rails, or mirror, or towel rail, near the downstairs sink; without moving at least 2 of the ( very heavy and soft) chairs, there is no access to the dining table for a wheelchair. The grounds are lovely, but pushing a wheelchair on the loose stones was very difficult."

"The property was in a good location and was ideal for our requirements. However, there were a few areas of general improvement that could be made namely some cobwebs on the stairwell and conservatory, the conservatory roof leaking when it rained and the extra living room having an unpleasant odour which meant we didn't use it. Further, the dining area chairs don't match the good quality tables and could be replaced and the living room settee needs replacing as it feels broken in places. Would recommend for the number of guests either a larger setting dishwasher or an extra one as per the other applicances. The downstairs bed was uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall, the property provided us a suitable base for our holiday"

"Glenside was a great place to stay for exploring south Cornwall without having to travel to far. Lovely beaches just minutes away and all the amenities you could need also very close. The house itself was lovely and spacious with everything there you could ever need including the hot tub that was great after a long day exploring. The owner is very friendly and on hand for any issues that we had. The only real issue we had was with the garden not being fully enclosed so we had to keep a close eye on our spaniel especially when we had a visit from a wandering local dog. ( Owner of glenside has been notified and should address the situation of garden security ). All in all this is a great base for a Cornish adventure."

"The house was a good size and spacious for7 adults and and a toddler. Each bedroom had an ensuite and good wardrobe space and draws. The curtains in the main bedroom were very creased and the bedding in all the rooms could be improved as it was very dated.Good size dining table but some chairs well used and clicked. The garage and the hut at the back had old curtains and sheets hung up at the windows and looked scruffy. The garden at back is a good size and nice dining table and chairs. There are some nice sun loungers but needed a good clean and one was broken. The garden had lots of nice pots in but they were all full of weeds which spoilt it.Lovely touch of cream tea left for us."
