"Traditional style dorma bungalow. Entrance into porch with useful seperate washing machine and tumble dryer. Rustic feel but practical room. Enter into mondernised, well equipped breakfast kitchen which was clean fresh and inviting. Open plan, leading through to kitchen diner with amazing views over Polzeath beach and sea. Dining table caters for 8 sit down. Through hall to cosy lounge, again with fantastic views over beach and sea. Our party was 7 (3 adults 4 children) and because the children found other places to be within the house, the size of the lounge was fine for us. Tv and electric fire and radiator. So kept cosy.Ground floor double bedroom was clean, fresh and comfortable with sink in room. (As all rooms had). Twin on ground floor again clean comfortable and fresh overlooking a private garden. Next to this a practical shower room. Clean with a decent shower. Upstairs a further 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Double with views out to see. Dressing table, sink. Fresh and clean feel. Twin room with sloping roof, a small window with views out to see from one of the twin beds. Room felt a bit more dated with flowery bed linen. More of an adult room. So the girls ended up choosing the double room downstairs and swapped with us! Bathroom with toilet, bath and separate shower. Functional and clean. Which completes the accommodation. Two minute walk (steep incline back) to amenities including a Spar, coffee shops / restaurant / surf shops etc. And of course beach and sea which is a popular surfing haven. Great location for exploring north cornwall with Rock within walking distance around the headland. Or a short drive away. A walk on ferry takes you over to Padstow, where we normally stay, and is a lovely place to visit. It has changed over the years but it will always be padstow to us and the kids thoroughly enjoy it now too! Overall lovely 2 nights extended onto our weeks holiday and in comparison to other accommodation / hotels in the area for 2 nights fri / sat. This was the most reasonably priced for location, views and amount of people it could cater for."

"We just stayed in Trellee Cottage and it is advertised for 6 people , but there is not enough space for 6 people in the lounge area though bedrooms are very small and basic .The greatest thing was the cleanliness of bedding and furnishings,It is one of about 150 cottages and no real amenities onsite as the splash pool accommodates 4 adults with no swimming space , The jacuzzi is like a home one so if you are expecting swimming time or kids want a good water time , be prepared to wait with all the other holidayers! You can walk to local beaches a mile away from for little kids not possible as no footpaths . The cottage itself ( and resort) is in a leafy area with plenty of flora but very little activity in situ .. we were very disappointed with the pool situation as only got 2 chances for half hour .. for the price that we paid ( and we are seasoned staycationers) very disappointed. The wi-Fi is basic net gear so lags a lot .There is a small selection of movies you can watch and television is basic channels. No washing machines but you can have communal laundry facilities .The picture of Trellee suggests a bigger house than it actually is.I would advise a google street search if you are a family of 6 as you might realise cramped quarters when you reach there."

"We spent a lovely two weeks here with our children and the grandparents. The house was beautifully clean and spacious. Despite other reviews we found there was plenty of seating in the lounge! The photos don't do the house justice as its been redecorated throughout since the photos on the website were taken! Bathrooms a bit dated but fine. Very comfy beds and the kitchen etc. had everything we needed. BBQ also provided which we used a lot! Handy garage for storing beach stuff etc. Only downsides were the fridge freezer being in the garage, and the garden is a little on the small side (though still enough space to sit out and kids to play). No direct contact with the owners (entry by keybox) but the next-door neighbours were very friendly and helpful. Marhamchurch itself is a nice village with a pub and local shop selling basic provisions. Had a couple of lovely meals at The Wier (walking distance just out of the village). Bude and its beaches are only a 5-10 minute drive, and there are several local supermarkets. Great location to explore the rest of North Cornwall too, and plenty to do."

"The cottage was just the job for two people. Comfortable, reasonably equipped and roomy enough. The place was spotless and the mattress was firm which suited us. The shower was adequate but was tricky to get right and not very powerful. The hotel it is attached to was quite old fashioned which you will either like or not. We didn’t eat there so cannot comment on the food. The surrounding grounds were lovely. The location is quite a bit out of Falmouth but a taxi is less than a tenner and there is a bus 5 minutes walk away. Also 15 minutes away is a great pub. Good food, busy and very friendly. A shop too so what more do you need? This is a good place and I recommend it. If you’re into dogs you can bring them. If you’re not then the slight doggy smell might be slightly off putting. But it went over a couple of days (or we got used to it) so not a show stopper. The price is ok. You get what you pay for and I’d happily repeat the experience. We had a lovely time. Hope this review helps."

"We booked Swallow Cottage for 4 nights from 8th April and we loved our stay. The cottage is located just outside of Port Isaac, a picture postcard village on the North Cornish Coast. The cottage was an upside down 2 bedroom cottage. The main bedroom is small but the bed is very comfy and the décor bright, tidy and in keeping with the surroundings. The 2nd bedroom had bunks and my 6 year old daughter loved the room and, of course, took the top bunk. The main living area is upstairs and the reason for that is clear as soon as you get upstairs as you have a wonderful view of the North Cornish coast spreading across to Tintagel island. The living area is open plan. The kitchen worked perfectly and the lounge area was comfortable. There is also a lovely balcony where the weather was warm enough to enjoy a drink outside. Lastly the upstairs was nice and lights and with the sun rising through windows and the Cornish sun rise was gorgeous. We loved Swallow Cottage and will be returning."
