" Travelled with my husband and two teenagers - 13 and 16 year olds. Packed my tiny car full to bursting only to find a well equipped cottage on our arrival. Gorgeous setting, lovely cottage, absolutely everything there that we needed and then some. The tennis court, pool tables and table tennis were an added bonus. There was a CD player in each room and a piano in one and my daughter felt it necessary to play her limited amount of tunes (about six) to us repeatedly although it was good practise for her upcoming exam! The go-karts were a huge success. My 16 year old son is extremely tall and we doubted there would be one to fit him but there was - they catered from the very tiny to the very grown-up big kid! These facilities are just a two or three minute walk from the cottage. When leaving the driveway, turn right and follow the road around the corner and the owners other rental properties are there along with the games - just go through the huge gate. We made the mistake of turning left the first time, I would definitely book here again and have no hesitation of recommending it. Thank you for a lovely vacation. "

" The house itself is beautiful and full of character. Perfect for anyone wanting to get away from noise and the busy-ness of life. It's beautiful inside and was wonderful to come home to after a long day in the cold - very cosy and warm! Set in the middle of the countryside it is surrounded by bright yellow fields and farm animals (perhaps not so good for bad hayfever sufferers at this time of year). Plenty of walking to be done in the local area! The property itself is perfect for children with a sandpit, slide, swings and plenty of go-karts and tricycles to play on all day. Our kids all had great fun making use of these (as did the adults), along with the ping pong table in the games room of the barn next door. Our stay could not have been better! Honestly couldn't fault it, and with the host so close by, it meant that had we had any difficulties she was right there, ready to help and always with a big smile on her face. Thank you Sara! We hope to be back again. "

"This delightful little cottage was spotless in every aspect. Sharon who manages the property for the owner could not have done more for us and was available on her mobile for assistance for most of the time we stayed and personally dealt with any assistance we might have needed. We did share the site with a very large extended family group the first week and we found this a little difficult as were holidaying with an autistic Son who avoids noise and crowds so to him this was not helpful. They were noisy near our property for lots of the time but this was not down to the owners and might not have bothered anyone else. We loved the swimming pool and used the tennis court a few times which is all free as are the washing machine facilities. We loved the area and had wonderful weather the whole time. The views are spectacle as are Ludlow, Shrewsbury and all the local history. We will be back but without children to fully appreciate the area, cottage and all that it they have to offer."

" We have just stayed here for the bank holiday weekend for my 50th birthday we hired the corn house and the spinney retreat for our family and some friends as there was 12 of us altogether. We have had an amazing few days the house is brilliant there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen is really well equipped has everything you need, was a big help having two fridges in there to cope with all the food we took. Our bedroom was lovely plenty of room and storage space. Our grandchildren loved the play area and so did the adults playing Tennis and basketball and also going on the go karts shame weather wasn't a bit nicer. The men also spent a lot of time in the games rooms having competitons against each other. Our friends who stayed in the Spinney Retreat said how lovely and peaceful it was. Cant wait to go back again great place for us to all get together . "

" The owners were so friendly and have put so much thought into making sure everything you might need is in the property. The extras like the games room. Go karts, tennis; swing ball in the garden. Cupboard full of toys and puzzles for small children. Country walk all signposted, little boat on the lake which our teenagers loved. They allowed my husband a ride on the combine. The swimming pool is absolutely amazing so luxurious and a gym too.. The location is perfect for exploring Shropshire. There was information galore in the cottage on eating out, places to visit, as well as The owner telling us of great places to go. There is nothing I could say at all that would be negative. We all loved it, even our 14 and 15 year old who are very hard to please. We left the cottage as a very happy family. Although I had to hold back the tears as I didn't want to leave. "
