"Raspberry Cottage is a very pretty cottage from the outside. The garden and outlook are lovely with views across open countryside to the side/rear as it is at the end of a terrace (the only thatched cottage). The local pub is approximately 200 metres from the cottage and serves food. We found it a friendly place and the food was typical pub fare, although they had run out of some options while we were there as it was busy. The location is good as it is close to Deal (10 mins drive) which was a lovely place to visit as were Sandwich and Canterbury (30 mins). Inside, the lounge area was comfortable with a working fireplace that we made use of (although you need your own supplies). The dining room is a good size with all the utensils/crockery provided and a good sized table to sit around. There are historical touches around the cottage that add interest and make it homely. The kitchen and bathroom areas are small and somewhat dated. We had gone with the intention of cooking some of our meals but really the kitchen is not suitable (cooker could do with updating and oven trays were very dirty) so we stuck to making pasta on the first night and then just having breakfast there. The damp smell from the bathroom can be a little invasive but this is probably due to the fact it's not mains drainage. The bedrooms are a good size, although the mattresses have definitely seen better days. Washing up liquid/cloths etc were supplied and we were also left some long life milk/tea/coffee/sugar. Other than that, you need to ensure that you bring supplies (we didn't bring toilet roll as we thought it would be supplied - it wasn't - yet there was a box of tissues in the bedroom and a kitchen roll in the kitchen, so possibly an oversight). However, that said, for the price we paid, we still thought it was a good deal and it is a very sweet little cottage with so much potential."

"We stayed at this apartment 4 years ago. The apartment is well furnished and in a good sea front location. However the cleaning could be improved. The ensuite did not look clean at all and the fridge and some pans, dishes and utensils were also in need of cleaning. The main bathroom shower suddenly runs cold for no reason. The bedroom doors are so heavy they slam shut constantly and there are no door wedges making the rooms very hot and stuffy. Bath towels are of the smaller size. However it is Broadstairs that's the real problem. It is busy beyond capacity so we could not book tables for dinner until 8.45-9.15pm. We ate in mostly as a result. Many businesses shut on Monday and Tuesday after a busy weekend with London weekenders! Thanet is now so busy it takes 30 minutes to get out of the area before you can travel to attractions! A less than ideal apartment and a very congested town do not make for a good holiday! We won't be back!"

"Stonebay Apartment is a modern apartment that, although it isn't at the front of the building, you can still see the sea from the lounge and one of the bedrooms. It has its own allocated parking space which is good as street parking in Broadstairs can be difficult especially at weekends and during holidays. The seating in the lounge was not particularly comfortable and the DVD player needs to be replaced as it is very slow at working and doesn't play some DVD's. The en-suite shower has good power. The kitchen could have been cleaner - the worktops felt sticky - and there was spilled coffee down the front on a drawer unit. Although we enjoyed the views of the sea, which were always changing due to the weather and different craft sailing, we probably wouldn't return to Stonebay as Broadstairs didn't live up to our expectations - too many fish and chip shops and not enough cultural activities."

"Disappointed for the first time in many years. The cottage is not worth 4 stars. Wonder why there are no pictures of the bathroom on the website ? Because there is non. The bath is squeezed in with the toilet on barely 2 square meters. The mirror is above the toilet because above the sink there is a window..The toiletpaperholder is fitted on the door because of lack of space. Furthermore the cottage is not very clean either and maintenance has clearly lacked the last years. It is kind of cosy, the garden is stunning no doubt about that but that does not compensate the dark and slightly damp interior of a cottage with a nice exterior and garden but a disappointing not 2018 and 4 star worthy interior"

"A great little apartment. Great sea views, patios don’t receive direct sunlight but view is unobstructed. Open plan kitchen lounge diner, well equipped. Games jigsaws and a few DVDs just in case the weather was duff. Twin bedroom and king size double comfy beds and plenty of storage. Main bathroom with bath and rather small shower and an ensuite shower room to double bedroom. A few issues with hot water to the end of our stay, so a couple of cold showers. A beach just over the road and Just a short walk into Broadstairs .We loved it and would be happy to return.Only improvement would be ditch the bath and add a bigger shower. Oh and the key was difficult to find and get out of the key safe."
