"We found the house to be in a great location and there was lots of space internally. However, some of the rooms smelt of smoke, particularly the games room and middle first floor bedroom and the kitchen surfaces were sticky. The shower rails in the bathrooms were inadequate and the temperature and pressure of the showers themselves fluctuated without altering the temp manually. The fridge freezer, for a house advertised as sleeping 9 people was far too small and the bbq was a joke as it was tiny and didn't appear to have been cleaned at all.The house just seemed a little un-loved which was a shame. There should also be more information regarding neighbours and the fact that the hot tub is on a timer, on the website. We hadn't realised that we would be unable to use it after 9.30pm!I feel that the house was over priced for the level of accommodation offered and for that reason I would not stay again."

"We rented this cottage as we live locally and had family visiting from abroad. The cottage more than exceeded our expectations. Spacious rooms. 2 large bathrooms was an added bonus. Fully equipped to a very high standard. Cleanliness could not be faulted. Great location. Ideally situated for visiting Cheshire, North Wales and surrounding areas. Local amenities within walking distance. There were no problems so did not need to contact the owners during the stay, however they were very helpful beforehand. The bread milk etc. on arrival was a very nice touch, thank you. We are very lucky to have such a nice cottage in the village which we can highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area."

"The cottage had a rather lot of cobwebs and spiders, more than just the odd few. The Wi-Fi was nonexistence even thought it stated that there was Wi-Fi. the owners seemed to be battling a problem with damp, which was a shame because the cottage was very well kitted out with most things you would need. A lovely welcome kit was waiting on our arrival. the beds were very comfortable and the shower one of the best. Sykes dealt with our problem of the Wi-Fi after no agreement was made with owners, and we informed them of the damp problem. If the Wi-Fi and damp are sorted then we would love to stay here again, I would just bring a large broom to remove the cobwebs and spiders."

"The location was ideal as you could walk into Chester easily and also get to the station. Chester zoo & the aquarium were also near and easy to get to by car. The house needs some attention a light and a fire were not working. The heating was electric but was on time switches not ideal for Oct. The hot tub was a tepid tub and needed some attention as it was scummy. I wouldn't have liked to cook a meal for 9 people as the equipment provided was minimal. In these days we were surprised there was no internet / wifi connections. Coat hooks would have been handy as there was nowhere to hang wet coats. More information / maps about Chester would have been handy"

"Jonathon and Kirsty made us welcome from the minute we arrived. The Cottage is beautiful and in a lovely location near to where we were visiting family. Everything we could need for our break was provided. Little extras like milk, bread and butter, eggs juice etc were all provided when we arrived and this was appreciated. Our Grandaughter had a few sleepovers while we were there and she absolutely loved it. Thank you Jonathon and Kirsty for a lovely stay. This cottage is ideally placed for motorway connections to the North and South and close to Chester and Snowdonia for those wishing to visit and I can highly recommend it."
