"The cottage we were due to have had boiler issues so we were given the one next door which was the mirror image so our ratings are based on that. The cottage was lovely and clean however there were no cleaning products should we had needed to clean a mess, there was a mop and bucket however. There were plenty of plates and cutlery etc however it was all a mix of different items. There were nearly finished toilet rolls and none to replace so had to buy some. The tea towels were leaving dust partials etc on the plates etc. I was disappointed to find no welcome box like we have had in previous holiday cottages, as we didn't know the area and it was getting late we couldn't make a tea or coffee as no complimentary milk, sugar, tea or coffee, didn't get to the shops until the next day, good job I had booked us into the hotel for dinner so got a drink there. Never come across a place that didn't provide this as a welcome after a long journey. The cottage is up a hill, going down to the beach is fine but it's quite a slogg to get back but we didn't mind neither did the dogs! The beach is great for the dogs! The beach is acceptable by walking over the gated railway track just by the hotel or you can travel along the road/path to access the under Pass to the beach. The pool at the hotel is great but only open certain hours for cottage users. Over all I would recommend these cottages but make sure you take a box of essential items, cleaning spray, milk, sugar, tea and coffee!"

"My friend and I stayed at the delightful Cwmtrwch Cottage from 9th to 16th October 2015. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back there at the earliest opportunity. The beds were really comfortable, something we often find seriously lacking at other places we have stayed in the UK. We went for a swim every morning in the extremely pleasant pool which was never crowded, and we also enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room. A real treat! Our hosts, Stewart and Emma, were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was nice and peaceful. We had delicious cakes and tea in the cafe. Only and 15 minutes drive and we were at the beautiful Aberglasney Gardens and a mere 10 minutes drive took us to the fascinating National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Venturing further-a-field, we visited the stunning Pembrokeshire coast. All in all a very enjoyable holiday. Can't wait to go back again. Many thanks. Sorry about all the adjectives but I can't help it. It was so AMAZING!"

"This is the second time we have stayed at Cwmtwrch Cottage and we enjoyed it just as much this time as we did the first time. The main draw for us is the use of the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room. We walked over there every morning of our stay and had a swim plus a relax in the jacuzzi and steam room before breakfast. It was just what two busy, hard-working ladies needed. Tescos in Carmarthen was within easy reach for our shopping and we visited Dinefwr Park and Castle National Trust property and on another day had a good walk on the beach at Llansteffan. We also visited relatives while we were in the area and spent time with them. The cottage is very comfortable. The only disappointment about Cwmtwrch is the grounds around the whole complex. It looked very neglected and in need of some TLC. Can't fault the warm welcome we received though, from Emma and Stewart, our hosts. Lovely people! All-in-all a nice break in a nice place."

"We had a really lovely time at The Bird House, staying there to whilst attending a friend's wedding in Carmarthen, despite it being winter time and raining on most days! It's conveniently located on a nice quiet site within easy reach of local shops at Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan too. We took our Boxer dog with us; the lodge was a great size for him to move around and the secure decking proved a real bonus too. The dog walk was a bit too waterlogged to really enjoy but there was another walk just over the road at the nature trail. We enjoyed a really lovely meal with friends at The Three Horseshoes Inn in Cenarth. The owners were on site to give us a fantastic introduction to the lodge's facilities. The only slight negative is the low lighting in the lounge area which made it a little tricky to read a book but there is amply lighting in the dining area and bedrooms. Everything you could need is provided. I would definitely stay again."

"Lovely barn conversion. Home from home. Beautiful area and surroundings. A little isolated though and barn door didn’t feel safe. Spooked out overnight. Need a better lock on the door. Also marked cleanliness down as there were lots of cigarette ends on Patio area from previous tenants. Also the general surrounding area looked a bit unkempt. Probably just need a gardener. The beach was also tricky to access as you need to either cross the railway line(scarey) or go under the railway. Beach was quite rocky for my elderly dog to walk on. The hotel was lovely with a lovely lady ‘Caroline’ as host and seemed to do everything. The Cart sheet is high up on a hill which is about 500 meters long. Need to be quite fit to walk up and down. It is also a little dangerous due to speeding cars. Yes I would recommend to anyone really as you can always drive up the hill. I would go back only if the barn door lock is made more secure."
