"We had a really lovely time at The Bird House, staying there to whilst attending a friend's wedding in Carmarthen, despite it being winter time and raining on most days! It's conveniently located on a nice quiet site within easy reach of local shops at Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan too. We took our Boxer dog with us; the lodge was a great size for him to move around and the secure decking proved a real bonus too. The dog walk was a bit too waterlogged to really enjoy but there was another walk just over the road at the nature trail. We enjoyed a really lovely meal with friends at The Three Horseshoes Inn in Cenarth. The owners were on site to give us a fantastic introduction to the lodge's facilities. The only slight negative is the low lighting in the lounge area which made it a little tricky to read a book but there is amply lighting in the dining area and bedrooms. Everything you could need is provided. I would definitely stay again."

"We had a lovely stay at Top Barn. The barn itself is clean, modern, well done and perfectly kitted out, although we found the sofas very uncomfortable. Lovely big space outside. We knew the house was some distance from amenities etc as explained in the description of the barn, which we thought wouldn’t be a problem but by the end of the week we were a bit fed up with it, and is the only reason we wouldn’t stay there again. This didn’t have anything to do with the Barn itself, which I would highly recommend as long as you are happy in the middle of nowhere (plus side is that Tesco delivered!) The other thing to note is that you are in very close proximity to the owners so your paths do cross (which wasn’t an issue for us) and they do cross the garden space to get to barns every day so if you are looking for somewhere super private this wouldn’t be the house for you."

"We arrived at the Bird House and it was stunning, nestled in a quiet spot, just the sound of the birds, we enjoyed watching an array visit the various feeding stations. The weather was glorious and we utilised the lovely decking area. The welcome pack was most welcomed as we enjoyed a lovely cuppa and slice of Bara Brith in arrival. As we were mostly out of season the site facilities were not interest to us, although i do enjoy a daily swim, the pool was not clean, but I'm sure in peak times that would not be an issue. It was a perfect spot to tour some amazing locations and we loved Cenarth. I would and have recommended the Bird House, it was a perfect end of summer escape to Wales for us, many thanks for the excellent communication and glad our hosts made it back from America safe and sound..."

"A very spacious comfortable homely farmhouse with beautiful view. The children especially enjoyed the hot tub. Downsides were the very narrow 2 mile road from the village and the rocky farm track to the farmhouse. We arrived on a very wet day so the parking area was very muddy. There isn't a washing machine or dryer so trying to dry wet towels was an issue for 12. The description said one basket of logs would be provided. This was not the case and the local garage did not have any. I assume logs are available only during winter months as with the Rayburn which was not lit and the oven was small; a challenge when cooking for 12 people. Despite these minor hiccups the holiday was lovely."

"This is a lovely barn conversion in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately in this day and age I would have expected the Smithy to have Wi-Fi and a dedicated shower but it had neither which was a pity, apart from that it was very well equipped. We took our dog with us but apart from a small exercise area there was nowhere she could be let off lead so walks were very confined to the lane and lengthy trips to Saundersfoot beach were required for the off lead exercise she is used to. We did try Llansteffan beach but the signage required dogs to be kept on the lead so no good whatsoever. Unfortunately, we wouldn't book this property again."
