What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Calder Bridge To Rent.

"We've stayed in a few cottages and this rates as the best so far. From the welcoming flowers, milk, bread and bottle of wine to the spotless kitchen, bathroom and living area and comfortable beds we had everything we needed to allow us to go out and about yet still look forward to getting 'home'. Yes it did feel like that. Everything was of a high quality and we particularly liked the reclining chairs, breakfast bar and that everything we needed was there, even a spaghetti server! Mr& Mrs Blair were welcoming but not intrusive and helpful with info about local amenities and the folder of places to go was very comprehensive. Location perfect for exploring both Edinburgh and Glasgow by train, free parking at the railway station much appreciated! So much to see and do we only saw the 'Edinburgh' side so need to go back and go west to see what Glasgow and surrounding areas have to offer. This is a perfect base and location, what more can we say?"

"Fascadale cottage is a fabulous, warm, clean and cosy cottage set in a quiet location amid beautiful countryside. The fixtures, fittings and furniture are all of the highest standard. The owners could not be more welcoming and helpful. We stayed here in April 2016 and experienced every type of weather possible in the week with some cold nights, yet the heating always kept the cottage warm and comfortable. The huge Sky TV in the lounge was an added bonus as was the extra TV in the ground floor bedroom. The local train station with free parking was ideal for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow without worrying about where to park the car! This cottage is ideally placed for visiting so many attractions. We intend to visit again next year."

"A lovely cottage, beautifully configured in an amazing building. Excellent location, perfectly situated for access to trunk routes. The Lodge has a well equipped kitchen, and a full dozen place settings of crockery! The living space wraps around the kitchen in a delightful L shape, separating dining from lounge. We didn't need to light the fire, already laid in the hearth. The two bedrooms come with large wardrobes and tall drawer units, plenty of space for a whole week's clothes. The Utility Room has washer/dryer and freezer, and the back door leading to a delightful small outdoor space. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts, and when we had to contact the owners, we had immediate response, very helpful"

"My wife and I were looking for a place to unwind and relax and this was definately the place. The cottage was ideal for us both, very clean, beautiful views, fishing although I never caught any due to the bright sunshine, well kept gardens which comes with all kinds off wildlife inc regular squirrels woodpeckers etc. Our host Ian introduced himself and let us enjoy our holiday and I would also like to thank him for the lovely welcome pack he gave us on arrival. Would definately recommend Harperfield cottage to anyone. Thanks again. July 2011."

"Cleanliness issues were rectifed the next day after owners of the cottage were informed. There was no Internet connection at the cottage but the location was ideal. Situated perfectly in between Glasgow and Edinburgh, with lots of other interesting places to see nearby. We found that most of the local amenities were always closed, especially in the evenings however, larger supermarkets were available by car. We found the bed was too hard to sleep on but the couch was very comfortable. Owners were very friendly and welcoming."
