"The Kings Head Barn is really lovely it's beautifully finished and the little details like the Egyptian Cotton towels really reinforce the excellent quality of this accommodation. Both bedrooms are excellent though one (purple) does have better storage as there is a beautiful double wardrobe my husband commented that it makes a real difference when little details like a plentiful supply of wooden hangers are in the wardrobe so you can hang all your clothes individually. Broughton in Furness is a very pretty town there is a great butchers around the corner from the barn which not only supplies great meat they also have lovely fish. There is only one thing that I would raise as a point the utensils in the kitchen where not great quality at all the knives in the knife block seemed cheap and they were blunt which ment I had to resort to sharpening them on the stone step as we couldn't find a knife sharpener anywhere. I love to cook and the quality of the pans knives kitchen utensils and crockery matters when trying to prepare meals. I do intend on returning with friends and it would really enhance the experience if this area was improved. Finally the facilities in Broughton are excellent the Kings Head pup in my opinion is the best pub in the area and if you go the I highly recommend the veg stir fry with king prawns it was delicious. They also have a great Gin collection which include a great local gin called Shed. Chloe and Scott cannot do enough for you and it also benefits from a great garden area which Chloe and Scott enthusiastically told me and my husband of there great plans for many future events. All in all Broughton in Furness is a brilliant gateway to the Lake District though it gives you the homely charm you cannot get in the popular resorts I highly recommend the Kings Head Barn in Broughton in Furness"

"This cottage is gorgeous. If your looking for a truly rustic out of the way setting with lovely views, great owners, log burning stove in your lounge and soft leather sofas then this is for you. Two massive double bedrooms and two separate singles so great for a family with older kids who like their own room. Previous comments about lack of utensils etc in kitchen have been sorted out. Loads of pots and pans, and cooking dishes. Lovely garden out back with a picnic bench. At night the skies are completely black with no light or sound pollution so it's so great for star gazing. It's very easy to find even in if it is the middle of nowhere in the pitch dark. Sat nav directions and C4U directions for owner worked perfectly. It does have wi if which is not advertised in the brochure so I suggest they add this to their brief for the cottage. Boiler is slightly dodgy still in that you need to turn of the heating button while six adults have a shower but the log burner provides enough heat anyway as is very cosy. Owner was extremely helpful and provided loads of wood and complimentary tea and coffee and sugar on arrival although we had bought our own. Towels galore in the bathroom. Shower is fabulous power shower and piping hot once you turn the heating button off. "

"Fantastic cottage on a working farm, that also allows camping and have there own old train carriage sleeping cabins to.The family that own the cottage live next door and were very helpful and friendly if anything was needed, on arrival a nice little note welcoming us, with tea, coffee set out for us, There's an enclosed garden to the rear if u have a dog, lovely kitchen with a argar and large table, following through to a large living room area with a log burner fire (wood is supplied free from the farm), 2 bathrooms on ground floor one with a bath/Jacuzzi.Upstairs have 4 lovely bedrooms sleeps 8, 3 of the rooms have double beds and the other bedroom has 2 single beds, quite surprising how big this property is. There is wifi in the property and worked well for us.I would say you do need a car to get about and site see, we found some lovely places even a few beaches. One thing I would suggest is to take shopping with you or do an online shopping order as there isn't a main shop for at least 6 miles and that is in the next town. This is a lovely cottage and you will also meet scruffy the dog (owners dog) lovely and friendly :-)"

"Whitecombe is one of the largest cabins at Brockwood Hall and was well suited to our large party of 4 adults and 3 children. We arrived at 4pm and were checked in by the friendly staff very quickly. Within 10 minutes we were in our lodge. The lodge is well equipped and had all e-suites in each room which was an added bonus. On site, there was a sauna, solarium and swimming pool situated in its own building. It was very clean and kept the kids entertained. There was a free cheese and wine evening on Sunday which allowed us to talk with other guests and find out what Brockwood Hall and the surrounding area had to offer. Would we go back to Brockwood Hall? Yes. Its now under new ownership, with big plans to upgrade & expand. All the cabins / lodges are currently being upgraded over the newt year or so. I would recommend to anyone,"

"The property is above a dental practice which isn't made clear on the information. The court yard is not private as you have to go through it if you are going to the dentist . Luckily for us . It was Christmas so the dental practice was closed. the parking is not ideal . If you park in the court yard and someone parks outside the property you can't get your car out. The 2nd parking spot as advertised is too small to park your car director all the bins outskirts de the garage doors. We therefore had to park our vehicle in the miso square so that we could make sure we had access to our car . The property was advertised with a log burner but it was a gas fire. The bedroom on the mezzanine was not very private and my husband kept hitting his head on the beahm as the bed was positioned to close to the beam ."
