"The cottage was clean and comfortable and for four mature adults was quite spacious. The owners were pleasant and friendly though it was not a good start to be chastised for arriving fifteen minutes late after a tiring five-hour car journey. The 'welcome pack' consisted of one bottle of water, twelve pre-cooked crepes and four dishwasher tablets. Proximity to the town square and its restaurants is a bonus and coastal towns are around 45 minutes away along mostly very quiet roads. However, the house, being directly opposite to a large supermarket and its petrol station, means that the traffic is quite busy during the day and large lorries disturbed our sleep when backing into the delivery bay very early in the morning. All bedroom windows face south, directly onto the road, so, with no opportunity to create a through draught in the heat of the summer, the nightly alternative was to open the one window which would open and endure road noise or to close it with airless heat. The beds are quite comfortable though two bedside lamps were found to be not working on arrival and, for the first time ever in our experience, we had to make up the beds ourselves with the linen we had hired. The upstairs 'bathroom' has no bath, no shower, no door lock and is to be used (quote) "for urination only" - and the stairs to the downstairs bathroom are extremely creaky, steep and loud! Kitchen facilities were on the whole pretty good, though the wine glasses and some large dinner plates were securely locked away in a glass cabinet, there were insufficient clothes pegs and the provision of only two tea towels when linen and towels were charged extra was very disappointing. Wifi reception is good. The radiators in the lounge were constantly on warm, though this room should have been our cool refuge from the summer heat; the owner sought to correct this a few days into our stay but, for some reason unknown to us, this didn't work. Outside, the small garden benefits from both sun and shade, is not overlooked and is largely undisturbed by significant extraneous noise. However, the promised barbeque ( also evident in the headline photograph) was very disappointingly missing and there were only two reclining chairs. In addition two of our members found it very difficult to access the raised lawn because of the very uneven stone steps."

"The house was very basically prepared. It felt like it had been shut up for a while and smelt of damp. Some of the shutters were still closed and we let ourselves in with a safe key. There was bedding left folded on the beds but it had seen better days, was well worn and some of it stained. One of the duvets was torn. The hot water was not turned on and we had to work out how to et it switched on ourselves. Some of the fixtures and fittings were tired and the house needs a revamp and redecoration. Wallpaper hanging off and bubbled in areas. In cellar owners rubbish and broken items left lying around.Filthy, black cobwebs all around property.Plastic bottles thrown into bottom of the hedge.Garden roughly strimmed but not maintained. Wooden decking needs painting. Two of the doors scraping along ground as you opened them. This property has potential to be lovely."

"As a location, ideally placed ...this is within 30- 60 mins of some amazing locations....Mont St Michel, St Malo, Dinan, Dol de Bretagne, Dol de Mont...please excuse spelling. Accommodation well equipped and sufficient for a family of 5 ...although the site definitely suits larger family groups who may take 2-3 chalets. It also will suit families with young children, especially the pool , which can get very busy. GThe nearest supermarket is in Plougeres about 5 km away...so do not rely on local shop which is v friendly and helpful but is very small. We found staff helpful ..but I reckon with a bit more searching I could have found somewhere a bit cheaper ...but maybe without a pool. Recommend? ...yes with conditions....but no complaints about our stay."

"A beautiful gite in a wonderful peaceful garden. Very clean and everything you need inside. Used two of the four bedrooms and the beds were extremely comfortable. Some of the furniture a bit dated but everything in working order and comfortable. Pont Aven with its many restaurants is approximately a kilometre away as is the nearest supermarket and petrol station. Small boulangerie and restaurant in Nazon about 500 meters walk. The owners are lovely although don’t speak a great deal English although enough. I hope to return again to this cottage."

"The appartment was very comfortable and extremely clean, my husband thought we had left the windows open! It was a short drive to the shops, fitter younger people could easily walk. The appartment is not suitable for people with limited mobility as it is up two flights of stairs but we knew this and it was not a problem. It is in a rural location and there is nothing to do in the immediate vicinity but the beach at binic is a short drive away. Again we knew this and it was what we wanted from our holiday."
