What our customers are saying about our New Year Cottages In Brittany To Rent.

"The house was great, lots of space and things to do even on a rainy day. We were a large group - 11 adults, 3 children and 1 infant. We all enjoyed the Pool table and the children made use of the paddling pool despite the cool weather. The beach at les Greves was a 15 minute drive. We even made it to the horse racing at the beach. Nicest nearby beach was Lociquerec. We enjoyed the fresh croissants from the bakery in Plestin les Greves and discovered the closest local shop in Plougeat-Moysan which also supplied fresh Croissant and Baguettes for Breakfast. When we asked the Olivers office for information before our travel they were either extremely slow to respond or didn't get back to me at all. There appeared to be some mix up about the number of guests on arrival and the time of check in resulting in not enough beds being made. Overall the quality of the house was high but let down by some of the peripherals: The ping pong bats had broken rubbers, some bicycle tyres were flat, we couldn't get the DVD player to work and the washing machine and dishwasher were hard to open. One time during the week the gas ran out and the landlord was there within the hour to keep us going. The landlord kindly posted back Jewellery we had left behind. Despite the small number of mix ups around the arrival time a great week was had by all."

"A little way out of the village, where there is only a limited evening entertainment, only a gallette restaurant open in the evening. Charge of 15 euro a day as a deposit, as we were there 21 days, tied up too much money (50 euros would have been plenty to charge.) Wanted 50 euros for cleaning on departure which we declined & cleaned it ourselves. The floors hadn't been swept or cleaned when we arrived, so we had to do it. All the cupboards smelt musty, so had to leave the doors open. No instructions/ signs in English, as our French is poor, had to guess how washing machines, micro worked. TV was so old, sound poor. Advertised as 2 TV's but only 1. and supposed to be toilet in bathroom, but in fact it was across the hall, with no handbasin. Kitchen tap was so loose was a problem to turn off. Tjere was no cvaserole or roasting tin so couldn't cook in oven. There were plenty of cutlery & china plates, but only small coffee cups, not big enough for making tea in, although there were just 2 mugs. In the sittingroom only a 3 seater settee & 2 cane chairs, enough for us as we were only 2, but it it caters for 6 people. (there are dining chairs & garden chairs) but not very comfortable."

"Christine and I have just returned from our honeymoon and having digested our experience at the chateau last week we would like to provide you with our feedback. To avoid all the flattering getting lost in translation I am writing this in English. The headline and conclusion is that we are extremely happy and we both feel that we had a fairytale wedding that far exceeded our wildest dreams and expectations. We also get very consistent feedback from all our guests that the atmosphere you have been able to create is really unique and gave everyone a pleasant break from real life. My mum even refers to it as a Garden of Eden experience and several guests have also said that they will definitely come back on a later occasion. As you can imagine you got a lot of ambassadors from this wedding and I will encourage you to refer to us if any potential customers ask for reference. We will definitely convince them! And if you want to quote any of this in your marketing material you are of course more than welcome to. A heartfelt thank you from both of us for a fantastic wedding arrangement! We will definitely be back! Best regards."

"All our family had a superb holiday in your beautiful manoir the last week in July this year. The house was beautifully clean and well equipped, making it ideal for a holiday with our seven little grandchildren and their parents. The space outside was hugely enjoyed by them and us because it was so safe for them to play in, and your generous provision of mountain bikes, table tennis and badminton etc was really appreciated by the adults. The splash pool was an added bonus, much safer than a swimming pool for little children. The surrounding grounds were not only a delight to look at but loved by the older grandchildren for adventures with their fathers. The supermarket in Plestin had an interesting selection of local food and we were fortunate that the good weather enabled us to eat outside on the terrace every evening. Nearby Locquirec and its vast, empty beaches were an absolute delight for young and old. For us it was an idyllic holiday. We all agreed that with seven grandchildren under five it proved a perfect week, and one which we would like to repeat in the future."

"We stayed at An Ilis for a week over Christmas 2017, we were looking for a remote and quiet accommodation with a short walk to the sea. This was perfect for us. It is a small but very quaint cottage, with all the facilities you’d need. The downstairs is open plan, with a small double bedroom and shower room. Upstairs has two converted bedrooms and a toilet, this area has low ceilings but is fine for children. The accommodation was very clean and well furnished. It has plenty of kitchen equipment, a dishwasher, a microwave and all the other kitchen stuff you’d need, and a washing machine in the building next door. It has a swimming pool and outside patio area (we didn’t use it as it was winter!) The area was very quiet and it is a pretty walk to the sea. The owners were very friendly and put up a Christmas tree and decorations for us prior for our visit, which was a lovely thought, they checked on us half way through our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend if you want a small and remote accommodation."
