"The cottage was picturesque, but not very well equipped. There were clean sheets, and (small) towels provided, plus one roll of loo paper; no hand soap, no dishwasher tablets, no clingfilm for the microwave. Possibly future guests could be advised to provide their own. There was no local information provided other than a book of bus timetables - it would have been a nice touch to give recommendations for local shops, restaurants, walks etc, plus where to catch the bus! Also there was no local contact number in case of emergencies. There was a mish mash of crockery - only 3 side plates and 3 cereal bowls, and only about 8 mugs, so you had to keep washing things up rather than use the dishwasher. Also some light bulbs had blown but there were no spares. The garage was very small, so we could not use it (there was free parking further up the road, so this wasn't a problem). My biggest complaint is the state of the garden, which was smothered in bindweed, although the house handbook mentioned a gardener coming in every week, all they appear to do is cut the lawn.On the plus side, Rottingdean is lovely, with fantastic food pubs, a fabulous bakery and greengrocers, frequent buses into Brighton, and lovely walks around the windmill and along the beach. So we did enjoy our stay, but felt the cottage was very impersonal (not helped by fact that owner took five days to reply to my email about key collection) and a bit neglected."

"Service was excellent, the house was in an excellent position, very central for the whole of Brighton very close to the station and regular buses but close enough to walk to the either the sea front or the central shopping centre. The house itself is down a very quiet street but there is a popular pub at the end of this so there is occasional noise especially Friday and Saturday nights but this was not excessive or anything to worry about. You are also right by the north and south Laines and we spent many happy hours wandering and exploring the area. We would definitely recommend both the house and the great service the team provided "

"Little Timbers was everything we could have hoped for and more for a little country get away. The property was well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and homely (this included things like toilet roll, kitchen roll, hand soap etc - they had thought of everything). Although in the immediate area there is only a small shop and a local pub, there are many places to shop/see/do a short drive away (so a car is extremely useful). Overall Kay and John were lovely hosts and we had a lovely time, and we couldn't recommend the property highly enough. Would definitely go again."

"A well equipped holiday let, probably one of the best we have had, in a great location for touring the local area.Liked the little touches that you very rarely get, such as; full size fridge freezer, plenty of power sockets throughout, welcome package - very nice after a long journey, decent size television in the lounge, high quality radio in the kitchen. Local parking voucher for surrounding towns and villages. And lets not forget the friendly and welcoming hosts Kay & John. If we decide to come to this area again we would definitely come backPeter & Barbara - Penarth S. Wales"

"Great little cottage in a very good location to the beach and only a couple of min's away from Brighton. Parking was a bit of a pain as road is very busy in the day and only allowed to park on road for 2 hours between 9-6 ....Garage is provided for Rose cottage but is very small, we have a Citroen DS3 and no way was it going in :-( Local pubs are great !!!.......Would have been nice if a couple of dishwasher tablets and some guest soaps had been made available.....Garden could have done with a little TLC ..but apart from that all was great :-)"
