"Two adults and their much loved Jack Russell had a lovely, peaceful break in Damson Cottage. This is a delightful home from home, out of the way of the hussle and bustle. The outside space is divided into 2 really, a level courtyard and a lawn up a few fairly steep ish steps. There's a gate into the farm from the lawn so you need to keep your eyes open...it could be an exciting escape route for a small dog!The cottage is on a working farm so be prepared for that. There will be smells and noises from cows and tractors but you are really in the countryside. The stone walls of the cottage are very deep which made it cozy when we stayed and would keep it cool in the heat of the summer I would imagine.Damson is about 4 miles from Wadebridge and reached by some windy, sometimes single track lanes. You will need to reverse if you come face to face with a tractor!Decorated and furnished with a tasteful mix of the modern and old, we will definitely be back to Damson Cottage."

"Overall we found the cottage rather disappointing. As my wife would say it was "on top clean". The bathroom although it looked lovely it had the smallest shower cubicle possible. Had a beautiful roll top bath, it was totally impractical for older people. The kitchen was well equipped and practical. The lounge area had runners on the carpets which were curled up at the ends and and had to be rolled up ans stored. I think 14 cushions and 8 throws on 2 settees rather excessive. The cottage was advertised as having a washing machine and tumble drier. both of which were faulty. the tumble dryer obviously not been checked as the condenser tank was full and the filter full and obviously had not been checked for some time. The machine did not dry the clothes. The only cleaning equipment was a vacuum cleaner which had not been emptied for some time. This is a great shame as it could be an ideal holiday destination attention to detail and care."

"Would have been nice to have a little milk and coffee as we arrived late and local restaurant/pub was no longer serving, nearest Asda supermarket is about 10miles away. We left some. We also left toilet roll as only half a role in the cottage. Needs a good deep clean, windows dirty, cobwebs and dust and dog hair on furniture in living area. Hanging basket with weeds and entrance poor. View onto farm yard. Some decent garden furniture would be good and implements for cleaning and cooking on the BBQ. Dog poo in the garden from owners dog which they did remove. Wifi mostly didn’t work and no phone signal in the house. Need to drive/bike to access any ameneties, nothing within a few miles."

"Emma Place is absolutely charming; everything you could need is provided and the welcome pack was ....very welcome. The area is served by plenty of shops and food outlets if you don't fancy cooking and serves very well as a base to explore the beauty of Cornwall. We stayed with two large dogs and there was plenty of room in the house and garden and we found that most of the beaches and a lot of pubs welcomed them. We visited lots of lovely places all within 30-45 min drive. Our favourite visits were Megavissey, Polperro and Port Isaac and our favourite beach for spending some lovely playtime with the dogs was Harlyn Bay. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others!"

"This property is beautifully presented. The care and attention in furnishing the cottage is very evident and makes for an harmonious environment which is restful in itself. It is very comfortable and attractively set with a lovely field for dog walking or in our case, running! One very small frustration was the council's re-arrangement of the turning off and on the A30 which made some local travel a bit confusing. However, in spite of this, we had a relaxing and very enjoyable stay and it would not prevent us from returning to such a lovely place.....it thoroughly deserves its Gold Award."
