"Cleeton Barn Gate is a comfortable cottage closely located to Ludlow and the Welsh Marches. The cottage is spacious and well equipped, as with any rural property the WiFi signal is poor and can be intermittent, but the owners will try to resolve any problems. There is a cattle grid outside the bedroom window, we got used to it very quickly but it may disturb light sleepers. The owners have two sheepdogs, who are friendly (and enjoy playing fetch, if you have the time) and the owners are happy to let your own dog run around the larger grounds of the property, which was very useful. The cottage is situated on the edge of moorland and there are a lot a sheep loose in the area, which should be borne in mind if you have a dog, who likes to chase & play. The property has an enclosed but not secure garden. A 3 foot wall and picket fence surround the garden, which was fine for our dog, but a larger dog or one that is quite agile and enjoys exploring, would be able to get out quite easily. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a break in the area. It is well located for Ludlow/Kidderminster and beyond. Although co-located with the owners property, it does feel private and they are keen to help with any issues you have without being intrusive."

"We really enjoyed our stay in this fantastic old property. The upper bedroom which has windows on all four sides was a joy. The children found it very exciting, especially the bath in the middle of the room, and we loved looking through the books. On the first floor there are the other bedroom and living room, which was well supplied with firewood, and in the evenings we were cosy in front of the fire. The other good thing was the two shower rooms located in one of the turrets. The underfloor heating was much appreciated, and it was fun being in the turret. We only used the actual dining room once, since it was inconvenient to run across to it in the cold weather, but it was a lovely room and we had the candles going to get the best atmosphere. The owner of the main house was very obliging and took us in to see the main hall - a fantastic old building. All in all it was a very enjoyable time and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet countryside setting."

"Lovely cottage in a great location. You can easily walk into Tenbury Wells. Nice cupcakes and fresh bread plus coffee and tea plus fresh milk and lovely flowers made us feel very welcome on our arrival. The cottage was exceptionally clean. The Pembroke House pub/restaurant is really good and so close. The cottage sleeps 3 but there are two big lounges and a large dining area. The kitchen is OK but very narrow and could be better equipped. We were very lucky with the weather and there is a nice area to sit outside. The bedrooms are nice and cosy and comfortable but the main downside for us was the bathroom which is really small and the shower over the bath is not very practical. The bathroom looks very nice - lovely bath and nicely tiled but not very good for having a shower. There is a second downstairs toilet and a sink in the main bedroom which are useful."

"a very pleasant stay. cottage generally very good, but the sofa is not the best for relaxing. We were promised a barbeque and a cellar. Dont mind about the cellar but if we knew there wasnt a barbeque we would have bought our own. We ended up having to go and buy one.the location is excellent and very convenient for all the local attractions in Ironbridge. Nearest pub is 2 mins walk.I think a little more space should be created in the front garden to be able to make the most of the view over Ironbridge Gorge. there is plenty of room for a table and chairs out the front if the plants were tamed a little loved watching the buzzards in the day, and the owls and bats at night."

"This was a delightful cottage. Set in a street back from the main road, it was very peaceful, with lovely views over the Severn gorge. Very convenient for all the services and attractions of the town and area; we walked everywhere. Cottage was compact, but well equipped and very cosy with the fire. Parking was a bit tight and the road is narrow - go carefully and be prepared to leave your car in the car park by the Museum of the Gorge - but this is only a few minutes walk away. This is a small inconvenience for what was a gorgeous and convenient location and a very characterful property. It was wonderful sitting in the front garden enjoying the view."
