"Lovely place to stay. Very clean with everything you need for your holiday. I had a bit of an accident whilst at Bewl Water and unfortunately, it did have an impact on our 3 day short break as I had to spend a day at the Conquest hospital A&E followed by an appointment at East Grinstead the following day (fractured eye socket) but Jenny (owner) was amazing and turned up with a couple of bottles of wine to soften the blow. We would definitely return to stay at Morgay Cottage as it's in a really good location for getting around and about and the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome (toiletries, milk, biscuits, tea and coffee etc). It's only about 10 mins drive to Bodiam Castle, not far from Bewl Water (although mind the tree roots!), a short drive from Hastings and not far at all from Battle. Yes, we will definitely be returning."

"We had a lovely short break at this cottage. It was particularly well equipped and we appreciated plenty of homely touches - thick curtains to keep out the light, mirrors, sockets, hooks and storage in all the places you’d want them.Worked well for our family - my husband and I, a 6 year old and a 1 year old - new travel cot and high chair helpfully provided.Nice days out in Hastings, Camber Sands and several NT properties nearby. We were surprised to be able to book a short break during Easter hols and at a great price. We didn’t get round to using it but there was a DVD player so not sure why this was mentioned in a previous review."

"A great base from which to explore the East Sussex / Kent region. Size of the accommodation was very generous for 4 people and Leo (the Lakeland Terrier) loved exploring the rear garden. The level of equipment and furnishing were to a good standard. The George Inn, Robertsbridge is well worth a visit for that extra special meal with friends. Rye is a good place to visit for antiques and small independent shops. Brighton is also a good day out with the marina well worth a visit for outlet shopping and dining out. We did have some problems with road works on the A21, but hopefully they have finished by now "

"Morgay Cottage is compact but very nicely done. We really enjoyed our stay there. It is ideally located for exploring East Sussex and Kent being in easy driving distance of Hastings, Rye and Romney Marsh. There are lots of gardens to visit and National Trust properties. We chose it particularly as it was close to Perchhill for a Sarah Raven flower course and because it is dog friendly. Friendly owners and opportunity to walk our dog in their fields was very welcome. Nice touches to welcome us too."

"We loved this spacious and comfortable cottage and the interesting and attractive 7 acre garden. There was also a smaller garden attached to the cottage where we appreciated the table and chairs so we could eat outside. The owner, Collette, was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was well situated for visiting many of Sussex's finest attractions but would be very difficult for anyone without a car as the nearest village shop was several miles away."
