"High quality accommodation of a good standard, with the finishing touches of a genuinely caring host. The teabags, coffee and chocolate bars provided for our arrival were very welcome and it was so good to see washing up liquid and tea towels in the kitchen. We enjoyed the cosy comfort of the log burning stove and a hot bath in the evenings after returning from fishing on the Avon. The river is only about 100m from the property and we caught some fine chub and barbel. It was great to be so near to Bath and we managed to find an alternative route to avoid the 60p toll bridge up the road. (Turn right out of the lane instead of left!). The pub is within easy walking distance and would be a fine place to sit and watch the barges on the canal on a Summer’s evening. They also do good meals! It is very close to the A4 but the traffic noise isn’t that noticeable. Overall a delightful place to stay. Feb 2011."

"Perfect accommodation if you are looking for an 'away from it all' break with the beauty of Bath just a short distance away. The Cart Shed as beautifully finished with everything needed for a cosy break. The weather wasn't great when we visited so we didn't make use of the outside dining areas, though the log fire was great to come back to. The road into the farm was longer than we expected and you would need walking shoes and a torch if you walk back from either of the pubs in the evening, though there may be a footpath across the fields. We chose to drive into Bath because of the weather, but we did walk part way along the tow path from the George Inn one evening, its a super walk. The fresh bread, butter and milk left by the owner for our arrival was a lovely gesture, as were the flowers and welcome card. We would be very happy to return."

"The cottage itself was attractive but felt that things hadn't been checked prior to our arrival. Numerous light bulbs both inside and outside the cottage were blown but fortunately we had taken our own torch as both outside the owner's property and the cottage was pitch black at night, although there had been mention of a torch in the kitchen which we never found. There was very little crockery and cutlery considering there was a full size dishwasher. The fire was not working which heated both the living room and bedroom but was told there was underfloor heating which only worked in the bathroom. The living room was noticeably cold, particularly at night. However, we did enjoy our stay and the setting was beautiful, but I would not rate it as 5 stars because of lack of attention to detail which makes your stay faultless."

"We absolutely loved this little cottage, which was so well located for Bath. We were there for a short honeymoon. The woodburner was great, the kitchen well equipped and the whole place lovingly decorated. It was lovely and warm. There were two amazing pubs within a couple of hundred yards which were both lovely and great value. Bath is walkable for those who enjoy a ramble along a canal towpath and buses along the main road are frequent otherwise it is easy to drive in to all the attractions and shops. The owners were lovely and helpful when we needed them and didn’t disturb us otherwise! There was bread, milk, butter and eggs and lovely flowers waiting for us on arrival. We felt very welcome and would definitely visit again and recommend to others. Dec 2011."

"A beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean apartment in a stunning location with great views. The hotel next door had intended to replace tea towels and oven glove but this didn't happen, we didn't chase as weren't cooking. I wasn't keen on the 2 person lift so took the 3 flights of stairs instead, no problem though. Husband did use it with suitcases. Shower head affixed to bathroom ceiling wasn't good so only used heavy hand held one which might be a problem to some. There is a BluRay player, details only mention DVD - shame there were no films or board games in the flat though with so many empty drawers! The free WiFi was reliable and useful. Would definitely stay here again as it was such a relaxing, comfy and peaceful place."
