"Nice neighbourhood, friendly neighbours. Good location for local small convenience store, baker and butcher (10-15 min walk). Nearest town 10-15 min drive providing supermarkets and large market twice weekly.Car required for excursions.External area including heated pool clean and comfortable. (Garden and pool attended once a week).Lots of walking both from the doorstep and further afield. Trails well marked but there are no maps provided in the villa. A trip to the Tourist information in Voiron provided a local map with all the trails for 5 euros. Well worth buying if you are there for the walking. We felt the cleaning charge was rather steep at 120 euros for the four of us. The house could have been cleaner which was a little disappointing having paid the charge on arrival. It was dusty with quite a few cobwebs and the cutlery and plates required a spin through the dishwasher before being used. We also bought bleach for the toilets. We were met by the lady owner who was very helpful and friendly. We were told of two large repairs that were needing done to the house. One was the patio doors leading from the living room out into the outside seating/eating area being unable to be used. There were another set of patio doors leading from the kitchen to the same area which were fine, however the through flow of the house was interrupted due to this. The other repair was needing to be carried out on the induction hob in the kitchen. One of the large cooking rings wasn't working which didn't pose us a problem as there were only four in our party. The other two smaller rings were sufficient alongside the external barbecue. The dishwasher and washer/dryer all worked well."

"Looks nice on the website but clearly it's been on rental for some time. Parts of it are looking very tired. Also not the cleanest. A few items already broken when we arrived. The bar in the games room is a nice feature (although the sink was blocked). Not obvious from the website but the 'loft room' is actually in a separate area above the games room. Personally I wouldn't want my young kids sleeping separately like that. This room wasn't very clean around the beds. There is no air conditioning so it would have been good to have fans in each of the rooms. It was very hot at night and all we had was two fans to share between all of us. Neither fan had been assembled which meant the base was in two parts and kept falling apart. Our biggest issue was the pool. It was cloudy when we arrived and we were reluctant to use it. The two staff at handover just pointed to the helpline phone number. Eventually a pool man came out three days later and the pool was finally clear on the fourth day of our vacation. The pool filter is a long tubular thing that sticks out into the pool which is a bit of a nuisance. The pool alarm didn't seem to work either but maybe someone had switched that off.Don't expect too much of Loriol. It's a very small town and the market is almost non existent. There are two large supermarkets nearby though and Valence is lovely and easily accessible by local bus.Altogether a nice holiday but not a property I would specifically recommend."

"If you want your very own piece of Provençal heaven then a stay at Villa Saint Restitut will give you just that. On the outside it looks traditional but within the beautiful stone walls are all the mod cons you need for a perfect holiday. The swimming pool was amazing and our two children loved spending as much time as they could in it. Saint Restitut is a beautiful village with a couple of great eateries, especially Bistrot Sidoine which is a fantastic tapas restaurant, but make sure you book a table as it gets booked up quickly. There is also a bakery and tea room. Just a few minutes away is Saint Paul Trois Chateaux which has a couple of large supermarkets for everyday essentials.Lucien who owns the villa was very helpful with local information and was on hand if we needed anything and was a perfect host.Would we go back? Absolutely! It truly was a beautiful place to stay that felt like home as soon as we had unpacked our cases."

"Lovely house but holiday somewhat spoilt by owners who asked for a deposit on arrival, were very direct about previous renters who did not leave it clean enough. We reassured the owners but they wanted a deposit and when we said an end of stay clean was included in the price of the rental they said that was for washing the bed linen. They then showed us all the broken things in the house, dishwasher door, coffee machine.... it became extremely uncomfortable. We mentioned one of us staying was a lawyer and in the end they left, leaving an unpleasant atmosphere. During the week they came into the house twice unannounced. They did on one occasion give us a bottle of wine but then grumped about the kitchen light being on. Area not very near cafe or shop. In all, nice house, rather ruined by what came across as controlling owners and unpleasant location."

"We had a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable stay in Montbrison Sur Lez. Monsieur and Madame were most welcoming .We really appreciated the welcome pack upon arrival, the plentiful supply of cherries, the delicious strawberries and of course the truffle omelette. We enjoyed meeting their two very friendly dogs also. The immediate surrounding area is quite beautiful and peaceful yet not remote. The neighbouring town of Valreas is good for everyday supplies and is within cycling distance if you dont want to drive. There are excellent restaurants within a short drive and plenty to see and do for all ages.We would highly recommend this cottage and its swimming pool...and would definately return there. The Daly Family, Ireland."
