"What a lovely, quaint and cozy cottage. The cottage was fully equipped with everything you could ask for which included wi-fi, full package tv, dish washer, washing machine, tumbler dryer etc. Wi-fi was especially handy as mobile reception is not great in that location. Cottage is located in a little dead end lane with open fields at the end which was great to give our dogs their after breakfast run. There is not much to do in the village ( there is a pub just yards away), but it is very central to explore local locations eg Lowestoft, Gt Yarmouth, Southwold, Oulton Broad etc. There is on site parking but it is sometimes difficult to get in or out of the drive due to inconsiderate parking opposite the cottage. Next door's dog unfortunately had a barking issue which did get a bit irritating after a while. Would definately recommend a stay here and would come back again"

"Lovely cottage with everything you need for a fabulous stay, perfectly situated within easy reach of lots of friendly pubs and a lovely beach. We walked into Lowestoft almost every day along a coastal path and even though I have mobility issues it was still a pleasure. We had a lovely welcome pack which included a bottle of my favourite wine some bread and some milk which was very welcome after a long journey. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners were really friendly when contacted. We would certainly visit again .We found the local people really friendly....there are some beach huts for hire along the costal path that would be a brilliant idea for a visiting family.Thank you for the cream tea voucher which was also a lovely touch ..all in all an awesome holiday five stars"

"We had a very enjoyable break while staying at Blacksmiths Cottage, this was a good base for visiting the local seaside towns of Gorlston, great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, also close to many broadland areas including Oulton broad. The cottage still has many original features and is furnished in quite an olde worlde style , but has a modern well equipped kitchen, double glazing and modern doors. The village has a pub/restaurant and a café but no shop. There are some local lakes which provide a nice area to take walks in, with an area in which dogs are allowed to run free.Probably the best thing about our holiday there was the peace and quiet, in stark contrast to our every day lives living on a busy road with noisy neighbours"

"This is our second stay at this cottage and overall is a lovely property,in a great location near the beach and a short walk to the village shops and pubs. However a few things do let it down. There was a problem with one ring on the electric cooker which kept turning on and off, which though the cleaner had left a note is a fire hazard. Apparently this had been reported by other people on at least two other occasions. Also there was a problem with not being able to use the electric heater in the fireplace in the main lounge. Not sure if it was the socket or the plug. Another minor irritation, was that there was not a toilet brush in the bathroom. I did mention these problems in the Visitor's Book. "

"We had a really lovely week at this cottage over the October half term. It was very well appointed, had its own parking and was in easy ten minute reach of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. It is situated in a very picturesque village, with a great family pub nearby that serves excellent food. The cottage decor seemed brand new, the property was bright and clean, and very well furnished. We all agreed we hadn't been to a better cottage in 5 years of UK half term hols. The owner was also very friendly, leaving us flowers and cookies on arrival, and even mailing back our son's book which he had mistakenly left. We wouldn't hesitate to reccomend, and would certainly go back if the opportunity came up."
