"We chose Tillet Cottage as it was suitable for dogs, of which we have 2 large dogs. We also have 3 children from ages ranging 7-15 yrs. There was plenty of space for us all, and ample room for the dogs to play in a fully enclosed garden, however if you have a large dog, who likes to jump, they may scale the fence! The cottage itself is dated, but that quite frankly just adds to the charm, and is reflected in the price. The location is perfect. A short 5 minute drive away from Aldi and Tesco supermarkets. 5 minutes from Pleasurewood Hills and Somerleyton Hall which is most definitely worth a visit. 5 minutes from the broads where you can easily hire a day boat and very close to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft for those who want to visit the beach. The cottage itself is equipped with the essentials needed in the kitchen, however possibly not equipped enough to cook a full roast dinner! There are televisions in the 2 upstairs bedrooms, and the lounge with Freeview channels (lounge also has a DVD player- bring your own!)). There is internet, however the download speed is extremely slow, about 0.22mpbs vs the regional average of 45 mbps. This wasn't as issue for us, but if you are planning to book anything online during your stay, it would be difficult, and is definitely not suitable for downloading/streaming/social media. If you are travelling with children and dogs, this is a perfect cottage, in a lovely setting for a UK trip. The owners greated us upon our arrival to show us around the cottage, and they are a lovely couple."

"The property has lots of pluses. The living accommodation is of a good size and overlooks the communal grounds and beyond this, the sea. The two main bedrooms are also a good size (although no wardrobe in the master bedroom). The bunk bed room is fit for purpose. The property is tastefully decorated and in a good state of repair. The kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery. A good sized freezer is also available. The property was also very clean throughout. In my opinion there are two downsides to the property. The first is the size of the kitchen. It is very compact and very difficult to fit more than one person in it at a time. The second downside is that the property is heated by portable electric oil heaters (and on-the-wall fan heaters in the ensuite and family bathroom). This is stated in the property details, but beware that you could be incurring electricity costs of circa fifty pounds if staying in a cold week. Overall I would recommend this property to friends, but would make them aware of potential additional costs."

"The cottage is very homely, if a little cluttered in some rooms. I believe it should be pointed out that there are several steps in the property (down into the kitchen, up from the kitchen to the hallway, down into the downstairs W.C., 2 steps down into the "quiet room" and, most risky in my opinion, 2 unequal steps from the large bedroom to the en- suite facilities). These steps provide substantial hazards for elderly visitors or those unstable on their feet.We were advised on our arrival that the dishwasher was out of action and would not be fixed until there was a vacant timeframe, which is not really acceptable as this was one of the facilities advertised. Wi-Fi is also advertised as a facility, but the speed is so poor that it is virtually unusable.Overall, the property's outdoor facilities and available space tend to outweigh it's shortcomings, but this depends on the weather."

"The house was as expected from the description though the dishwasher was not working while we were there. I regularly use Sykes when booking a holiday as the standard of accommodation is reliably good. We were very pleased with this holiday house and would recommended it to others,Nice decor. No issues.Would recommend to other and not hesitate to book again.Location very goodAll amenities in the home, good space at the rear for sitting in the evenings.Welcome basket a nice touch to have a cuppa after our journey.Close to Africa Alive & Pleasurewood Hills.Easy travel up and down the coast, though the A12 to Gt.Yarmouth is extremely busy.Bus service is very good if you don't want to use your car either.Town Centre is within walking distance with plenty of shops and eating places. We had a very pleasant stay :)"

"Lovely spacious cottage, plenty of areas to sit and enjoy. The garden is very large, with croquet and pitch and put markers, also secluded areas. Our dog loved it, and it would be great for children. The photographs of the old market garden area which used to be on the site were interesting, and it was good to watch the bowls players on the field where this used to be. The only reason I have marked it down was that there was no information about doctors, dentist, vet, nearest shops etc. Also what to do about recycling, didn't like having to throw everything in the one bin. Other than that, it is a great holiday home (and we also had lovely weather all week!). Thanks to the lovely owners for providing such a great home for others to stay in."
