What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In High Yewdale To Rent.

"Nicely decorated with lovely welcoming touches, but we had a few problems (and injuries) whilst staying here.Tea, coffee, bread, cake and eggs! Great welcome. Cute little dog bed and bowls (too small for our boy, but lovely all the same. Lots of towels (although nowhere to but them once wet, so stayed damp thoughout out stay.Power fluctuations made wifi a bit hit and miss, but there was a good selection of DVDs to use.The double bedroom has the sloping ceiling right over the sleeping area, and despight being only 5'2" I banged my head and injured over my eye. The hood over the oven is also low and my other half cut his head. We had problems parking outside the house, as the corner spots are very tight and once other people were parked, there wasn't room for us, so we parked on the scrub ground just round the corner. Haverigg itself has lots of mud flats and beach to walk on, so great for dogs, but there wasn't a hose or fenced in area at the house to wash down the dog or let him out for a tinkle. Unfornately the local pubs don't allow dogs. There is a small shop and chip shop, but the limited opening hours means its quick run into Millom to get a few bits and bobs or meal out."

"S18520 was a good size for 2 people maybe + 2 children but not 4 adults, it was very clean if a bit dated. It had everything you needed to enjoy a self catering break in a quieting location, the only negative was the curtains allowed too much light into the bedroom at night which meant as we had very good weather the sun was up very early streaming into the room, but apart from this it was comfortable. You could hear the road traffic at night. We were left to our own devices by the Host once he had explained the operation of the cottage which was great even though they lived next door. It is a great base to explore the lake district with all that it has to offer, you have easy access to shops during your stay with a Morrison's & Aldi 1.5 miles down the road, parking was good maybe a bit thought for a car but we were on a mot o recycle tour so no problem. The views were fantastic looking out over the mountains of Scarfel & Helvelyn, there is garden to use with loungers. On the whole a very nice place to stay."

"We recommend this apartment. It is well designed and thoughtfully furnished with everything that you need, and it is surprisingly spacious with ample room for wet coats and boots. It would be particularly good for two couples or older children as the two bedrooms are very private. There was a designated parking space which was big enough for our large car and the location in the heart of the village meant that we didn’t need to use it during our short break. Although I have no idea what it would be like in the middle of the summer it was extremely quiet when we were there during term time in December. We would definitely use this apartment again if we return to Grasmere."

"The Lakes is our favourite UK destination, and our stay in Grasmere is a highlight of the year. The Loggia is perfect for two people (and a dog), well designed and tastefully decorated designed and decorated, with good facilities and easy access to so many stunning locations, and the view is unforgettable whatever the weather. Good Life excels because it is locally based, with excellent customer relations and follow-up, and its genuine concern that we have a good experience. The Loggia suits us perfectly - location, facilities, and view!"
Mrs Margot Metcalfe - verified booking
"We have been so many times it is like a home from home, and has the best view in the Lakes! This location enables us to go out every day, mostly without the car, for wonderful walks, or to enjoy the view from the terrace - magic! Good Life has always gone the extra mile for us, and we especially like the feeling of personal service, from people who come from and really know the area and the properties. We have stayed in this property eight times from mid 2013, and will keep coming back!"
