What our customers are saying about our Half Term Cottages In Yorkshire And The Humber To Rent.

"Excellent cottage. We had the feeling that the owners wanted us to really enjoy ourselves. They had made it lovely inside and thought of everything. The stylish interior decorating and furniture complemented the cottage perfectly. Good for couples, friends or families. Everything was very comfortable. They'd left lots of information and even quizzes (which kept us up until the early hours). Two little things that could possibly be changed: we said we weren't bringing a pet, so we would rather the dog basket and blankets hadn't been placed in the living room next to the sofa. Perhaps they could be stored in the understairs cupboard if guests don't have a dog. Or in the porch. Also, it might be a good idea to put some stickers on the glass door into the kitchen to avoid any accidents. All in all, we had a great weekend break at Barbican Cottage and would recommend staying there."

"Terrific place, just myself, my wife and our little dog. We had everything that we needed, a cooker, a fridge (although small, big enough for us - we were only there four days), a bath with a shower attachment which served its purpose and added to the fun. A TV, a sofa (a little worn and sunken), a bed(a bit too soft), a nice patio and a brilliant view from the French windows. The cottage is in a quiet cul-de-sac and is only a ten minute drive into Whitby or five to Sandsend where you can take your dog on the far end of the beach (can’t do that at Whitby) and also good food at The Hart. The owners live next door, Claire and Andy, and are so very helpful and are nice people. It beats me why people complain and want plush furnishings and all the amenities close at hand, the price is good value and we would (if we go to Whitby again) certainly consider Linden Cottage again"

"The cottage was very clean and comfortable but building work was taking place in the area that was designated our private patio so we could not sit out and let the dog off the lead. The owner was away and was upset when she returned to find this work had taken place whilst we were there and offered us a 50% discount which we were happy with. When we rang to say we hadn’t received anything yet she informed us the offer was now 35% which is very unproffesional as she had gone back on her word. We would not therefore recommend booking this cottage. In the advert for the cottage it said there was a pub in the village which we were looking forward to dining in but found that it is closed and has been for some time. The village pub was part of the appeal but this misrepresented the truth."

"The Old Chapel We recently spent a week in the old chapel with four of our friends. Everything was just first class from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who could not have been more helpful, not only in showing us around the property but also in giving us helpful informa!on about the town and surrounding area. The property itself is so comfortable and no expense has been spared in its renova!on. With a well equipped kitchen, spacious lounge area and comfortable beds, what more could you want? There is ample of road parking for three vehicles at the front of the property and the enclosed area at the back has ample seating and a barbeque. We would highly recommend this property."

"Had a great time in Filety the property is in an excellent location right in the centre. Plenty of space for 8 people and all the equipment anyone could ever need. In the bunk room it could be improved if the blinds were blackout as they are thin wooden ones which let a lot of light in and considering the room is aimed at children this isnt ideal. The king and twin also only have thin office style blinds. In addition, on arrival we also had to scrub and bleach the garden table and chairs which had not been cleaned for at least a year which was a shame and would only take a few minutes to wipe down if done regularly. Some instructions on how to work showers and heating would also be helpful."
