What our customers are saying about our Half Term Cottages In Tavistock To Rent.

"A lovely location, with great views over the Tamar valley, although you inevitably pay a small price for being in such a beautiful setting - the nearest village is a good 15 min drive away through some very small country lanes. However the nearest Village (B. Alston) is better equipped than most with a train station, 3 village stores and a butchers. The cottage was spotless - we could not fault the cleanliness in any way - and very well-equipped. There is a communal pool which our children loved. All rental cottages have quirks - S19573's is that the tumble dryer and freezer were across the drive in an outhouse; this was not an issue for our short stay in summer. The only real negative we could think of is that the cottage has no attached garden. Even this has been considered, with a separate section of the garden (complete with BBQ and summerhouse), allocated to the cottage. This suited us fine, but had we brought our dog the lack of an attached garden could have been an issue. Would definitely come again."

"Very pleased with the overall standard of the cottage. Lovely place to stay with or without a dog. Lance and Nic have got it just right. Very friendly but not intrusive.I would definately recommend this cottage and would definately stay there again. Plenty of walks nearby with plenty of information supplied at the cottage. Lovely wetroom and a perfectly adequate kitchen catering for your every need.Lots of little extras which you might need. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely dog friendly pub next door. Good food and nice friendly landlord. Locals also very friendly. Peaceful location with no noise from the pub. Only downside is no local shop and narrow lanes to get to property. But this would not put us off going again. Highly recommend!!"

"Our family of 3 had a great 4 night break staying at S19573. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is very spacious for a family of 4 with the added benefit of the shared use of an outdoor heated pool as well as a private large garden with a barbeque area and views of the estuary. The pool kept our young teenager happy after a day of sightseeing. A large welcome chocolate sponge cake and flowers were a nice touch. There was also access to a large DVD library, 2 televisions, a large free standing bath and a well stocked kitchen including a dishwasher and washing machine."

"The accommodation was lovely. I was less impressed with the fact that one of the neighbours obviously has a key to the garage and entered the garage whilst we were in to check what was in the bins to put them out!!! I found this a little disturbing and wondered if they had other keys to gain access to the property??? I had already decided that we weren't putting the bins out on Friday morning as we had only arrived on Wednesday night and there seemed little point since there was only paper in the bin, so no point in putting an essentially empty plastic bag out."
