What our customers are saying about our Half Term Cottages In Harlech To Rent.

"The cottage is tucked away in the outskirts of the magic mountains of Snowdonia. It is wonderfully far away from all the stresses and pressures of our modern day lives. The owners made us feel genuinly welcomed. The cottage itself is like a cosy home from home and gave us the feel to be back in more simpler, kinder times. It is fully equipped, very family friendly including pets. It is surrounded by stunning beauty and ideally located for adventures into the mountains or by the sea. Port Meirion is just accross estuary and the seaside town of Barmouth about 20 minute drive away. As for shopping food or eating out options are extremely limited. There is no corner shop or cafe in Talsarnau. There is a big Tesco in Port Madog, so don't forget essentials. I would love to come back and can recommend it highly. We were happy there. Thanks for that."

"Absolute hidden gem:A little of the beaten track and all the better for it.Local shops and villages are a short drive away and ideally located for all the tourist attractions such as Harlech castle, Porthmirion, and Porthmadog as well as the Snowdonia action sport centres. A safe haven of peace and tranquility, ideal hill and dog walking area with multiple local footpaths across the countryside. The best sandy beach is Harlech which is only a fewMiles south. The cottage couldn’t be better equipped and the owners were beyond helpful and hospitable and we will definitely visit again. Two cottages at this location and we stayed in the smaller one, but both have an abundance of period features with thick stone walls and oak beam low ceilings.Don’t be put off by the pebble dash it’s a real hidden gem and would recommend to anyone."

"Sadly this cottage was let down for a number of reasons, general cleanliness lacking, extremely dusty everywhere, dirty sheet in wardrobe. Shower fell off wall at first attempt, no cleaning materials except washing up tablets, no welcome pack not even a tea bag, bathroom downstairs unable to use due to pungent smell, no fans anywhere as it’s a holiday cottage one would think there would be at least one we had to go to Tesco’s and buy a couple and then back again to buy a screwdriver , garden needed weeding and garden furniture tatty and old on the whole. Overall this could be a love,y cottage but requires attention to detail and tlc, we left a day early, we text ‘Angela’ to let her know she didn’t have the courtesy to reply back Location amazing and we will be going back but we will not be staying here ."

"The stable cottage was in the most beautiful setting, we were surrounded by rolling hills and had a beautiful view of the sea. We have young children and even though the weather on 2 days wasn’t very good, we still went walking in the hills and went to a secluded waterfall and built dams, it was so much fun we ended up going back on 2 further occasions as the kids loved it so much. The property was also well placed for getting around we were only 7-9 miles from Portmerion and Porthmadog, and only 5 miles from a beautiful beach. The local pub was very child friendly with great meals and a big play area outside. The Cottage for us was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life, you could actually hear yourself think. We would recommend this cottage to all. July 2008."

"close to the sea and 20 mins from portmeirion the cottage was very comfortable and cosy by the wood fire in the eveningsIt was very quiet and peaceful with views of snowdon and the sea. The only issue we had was that the downstairs was very cold, we understand it is an old cottage but the weather was awful for a day we were there and could have done with the heating downstairs being able to go on for longer. We did light the log burner which kept us a little warmer. The hill is pretty steep but we knew this before we booked and it certainly wouldn't put us off. The owners have thought of pretty much everything in the property and everything think was to a high standard. We had a very enjoyable stay."
