"This is a lovely cottage which is well thought-out and we'll equipped for pretty much all weather conditions. The owners are lovely and couldn't have done more for us! I have marked down on a couple of points because it is located in the middle of nowhere which was fine for us but meant we had to use the car to get even the basic provisions. We did walk to Trelech, the nearest village and there was a pub, but it looked like someone's house and we were told it wasn't always open and to phone first, so we never actually used it, prefer UI Ng to go to a fantastic pub in St Clears. Whilst the cottage was clean the sealant around the bath was mouldy and needed redoing and the grouting needed a strong beach cleaner. The hot tub was amazing, we were lucky enough to have had good weather, but if it had been cold and rainy then it would have been even more welcoming than it was. I would definitely recommend this cottage for couples and families as there is plenty of room and there are games, books, dvds, a TV and of course the hot tub to keep everyone occupied. Thanks again Pat for a lovely week."

"We had a lovely stay at S21653. The barn itself is clean, modern, well done and perfectly kitted out, although we found the sofas very uncomfortable. Lovely big space outside. We knew the house was some distance from amenities etc as explained in the description of the barn, which we thought wouldn’t be a problem but by the end of the week we were a bit fed up with it, and is the only reason we wouldn’t stay there again. This didn’t have anything to do with the Barn itself, which I would highly recommend as long as you are happy in the middle of nowhere (plus side is that Tesco delivered!) The other thing to note is that you are in very close proximity to the owners so your paths do cross (which wasn’t an issue for us) and they do cross the garden space to get to barns every day so if you are looking for somewhere super private this wouldn’t be the house for you."

"This is a really lovely little hideaway, close enough to the sea if that's your thing (it was ours) and very easy to pop into Carmarthen (we were surprised how close it was) with a handy Co-op 10 minutes away also, this was a perfect location for a relaxing weekend. On the very minor downside, we were a bit disappointed with lack of outdoor space, as other reviews had mentioned there was some (there is a tiny yard, facing the back of a barn) the cottage was a little tired especially the bathroom! The bed was possibly the most uncomfortable I've slept in in a long time, but, again, I'm sure it was just the fact that the mattress needed replacing, so a fairly minor thing. We had a lovely welcome, the Welsh cakes and milk very much appreciated. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!Would definitely recommend, and we are definitely hoping to stay again!"

"loved here. so much on the doorstep to see and do. the cottage is amazing... as a wheelchair user its not easy finding somewhere to go on holiday that suits your needs. ramp to access cottage, perfect. space inside cottage perfect. wet room was big enough to get my wheelchair in as well as the bedroom being big as well. I took my own toilet raiser and suction handle to help me on and off the loo. no criticism its just low loos are no good for me. lynette provided a shower chair. I couldn't ask for more. lynette is a lovely lady, very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, I would have no problem recommending elm cottage to anyone wether a couple or family of 6. scenery is amazing. thankyou for a lovely place to stay."

"Was a lovely break and Pat was a lovely host, very friendly, left us to it but felt she was always on hand should we need her! Lovely size cottage for 4 adults, a 10 week old baby and a dog! Beds were really comfy too, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! If u was being really picky not the one thing is I think the cottage would benefit from another heated towel rail, as trying to get 8 towels (have to use a separate towel for hot tub) dry was challenging. It is a lovely base for lots of lovely attractions and we went out every day! Make sure you stock up on anything you need whilst out as the closest convenience store is about 4 miles away!"
