What our customers are saying about our Half Term Cottages In Bradnop To Rent.

"Got off to a bad start, I booked early to avoid price rises only to have the price reduce by £40 before I paid the final amount 10 weeks out but I was still expected the old amount, I can understand with a few weeks to go but the reduction was 15 weeks in advanced. It was comfy and well equipped, the Sky was a nice touch though it was a shame it was connected to the internet which give a best experience. It was one of the best Studio properties we have stayed at.Real downside was the access to the property, restricted drive, narrow roads and a school meant it was a nightmare trying to get to and from the property we seemed to catch school time every time and the parents didn't seem to have a brain cell between them just blocking the road unnecessarily. It was easier to walk the half mile to the chip shop than get the car out, that how bad it was.The speed cameras that were round every corner got very wearing"

"Overall the cottage was just about okay. There were simple things that let it down.Positive-The cottage was in a good location for walking the manifold way up to Wetton hill and Thors cave. It was on the main road though and very noisy. It had character and the wood burner was good for warming the house up.The kitchen area was small but had good equipment. You would struggle to fit 4 people around table.Negative- overall cleanliness was really bad and comment book had many comments about this. The cushions on the sofa had lots of stains on them.Bedding was clean though.Main bed was uncomfortable and springs and electric blanket could be felt.Small tv which scratched our DVD and then wouldn't play others. The towels were too small.I wouldn't stay there again I'm afraid."

"This rental well-appointed and tastefully dressed bolthole is a great base for touring the area. It's location near the town and just across the road from a splendid park adds to the experience. We have no real negative comments but two suggestions:• We're not great TV watchers but we like an hour or so at the end of the day with a glass of wine and a DVD. The TV supplied here is too small. (Not suggesting a huge screen which would be out of keeping with the room.)• An external light seems to be in situ but we could not find a switch for it. A light outside the property would be a considerable boon to those returning at the end of their evening out.PS: One bit of housekeeping – the fridge light is out."

"The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Buxton with views of the Old Hall Hotel, the Devonshire Dome (now part of the University of Derby) and the Palace Hotel. It is like staying with a much respected great aunt as there is a lot of furniture and ornaments. However, like some older properties, it could do with an upgrade, especially the bathroom and kitchen. Despite this, it is comfortable and the chair placed by the large lounge windows allows you to spend a lot of time watching the people of Buxton come and go. Also, there aren't many holiday properties where you can sleep in a 6 foot 4 poster bed."

"More of a house than a cottage! Very well kept and very clean. Beds comfy. Kitchen equipment a little crammed with many multiples. Great fridge and freezer space. We had a food fridge and an alcohol fridge! Dining room a great space to play board games. Creaky floorboards upstairs meant it was impossible to tiptoe around at night without disturbing anyone. Great location being so close to Ashbourne. We found the sofas in the lounge very comfortable although a little antisocial as they were placed in a line but I don't know how they could have been arranged differently. Overall a great cottage though."
